Democrats are fighting for a $35b ACA subsidy to keep the ACA affordable. That works out roughly to $35b/20m people or $1,750 per ACA premium. Why should they be subsidized and no one else? Trumpcare would provide for every citizen.
Trump's offer of $2,000 per taxpayer works out to 154m x $2,000 = $308b which uses up all of the new tariff revenue.

So what would we get for the $2,000 "Trumpcare" rebates?
1. Those 68m on Medicare would have their $2,000 go directly to Medicare, fixing Medicare well into the future.
2. Those 15% on the ACA would be keeping the "subsidy", plus healthcare premiums would be regulated like utilities. Possibly incorporate the Swiss system of healthcare.
3. Those 85% who get healthcare insurance at work would get a $2,000 check.
4. Those 78m American citizens on Medicaid would have their $2,000 go directly to Medicaid to offset costs.
There are 146m people on Medicare or Medicaid. Their $2,000 rebates would go directly back to the Treasury, 146m, x $2,000 = $292b seems high, but assume its correct.
If there are only 154m taxpayers/tax-returns, and there are 146m on Medicare or Medicaid, some tax returns include multiple people.
So if $292b gets paid back to Treasury for Medicare and Medicaid, the $308b "Trumpcare subsidy" would only be ($308b - $292b = $16b) net add, down from $35b for the ACA subsidy, plus it would "fix" the Medicare insolvency, and provide funding for Medicaid.
In short, the $300b tariff revenue would ALL go to funding "Trumpcare", including every citizen receiving some benefit.
This Trumpcare proposal needs to include all of the "pay-fors" in the BBB, including the DOGE savings, and as many claw-backs of democrat slush funds as can be found.

Trump Floats Cash Payments For Health Care, $2,000 Tariff Dividends
President Donald Trump floated giving Americans direct cash for health-care costs and $2,000 tariff dividends, ideas officials said were still being brainstormed amid the government shutdown.
