Isn't it interesting that as soon as you take away big city media and newspapers where people are actually free to get their own information and to choose their thinking, they invariably choose conservatism and the republican party.

If not for big cities and papers like the NYT and liberal media like PBS pushing socialist-globalist thinking and agendas at you 24 hours a day, democrats would not have a pot to pee in.

Eastern WA is a great example of your point. With the exception of Spokane it is largely conservative. However Spokane city/county is a blue shithole and they get their news from the leftist/prog Spokesman Review. I feel like vomiting every time I pick this fish wrap up.

Where should Trump's focus be?
I like focusing on the "low hanging fruit" of red states with cooperative state governors, who could remove uncooperative mayors.
But, the MSM "news" is focusing on Trump "invading" blue states like Illinois, and uncooperative cities like Chicago.

You can vote in the poll on blue states, and post a reply about red states.

Your idea seems sound until one realizes the red areas have low crime rates thus blue governors and mayors would whine very little crime was taken down.

Democrats operate much the same as Muslims do or any virus: they do not go anywhere or do anything just for ordinary interests--- they look to invade the body, infect and take over key sectors, then inflict their thinking and values on others.

It isn't enough for them to just do what they want for themselves like sensible people.

55 years ago, PBS incorporated and the government agreed to support them on the contingency that they shared both sides of the story representing all the people as an honest news agency.

All these decades later, Trump finally went to them and said: "Hey! We are funding you but you are in violation of your fairness doctrine and always have been only pushing leftwing ideology despite our giving you 60 billion dollars! And what did they choose to do?

Your OP title and the poll question actually ask the opposite things.

1. Trump should pursue stamping out crime wherever he can within the limits of his Exec. power. Or, if he is to act like a democrat, then a bit far beyond his power forcing congress to reel him back in.
2. Doing it in big blue cities is sure to make leftist heads explode. Apparently they are good with crime. That's enough reason right there.
3. Doing it in big blue cities and getting popular, positive results is sure to please a lot of people while embarrassing democrats why they could not do as much. Who knows, maybe it will spur a few democrats to actually take their jobs more seriously.

2. Trump can't activate/federalize the NG in blue states. But ICE and the FBI and ATF can mobilize.

Instead of battling Pritzger in IL and the Chicago mayor, start with the red states first.
As you say, democrats would still want to keep their high crime even if red states were successful at reducing it.

The point is to get criminals and guns off the street to give the city police a better shot at success.
Problem is, even if cops arrest criminals, the courts just release them.
Red state governors need to step up and replace lawless mayors and DAs

If red state governors work with Trump they can have a lot of police power in high crime areas, including local Police, NG, State Police, ICE, ATF, even high tech resources like the NSA and FBI to eliminate gangs and disrupt their finances..

I wouldn't say city policing is racist, I'd say city DAs are too lenient and criminals have no fear of prosecution.

Democrats say police are racist because blacks make up about 15% of the population while getting arrested for crimes much more than that 15%. So, their solution is to stop the police from arresting so many blacks.
