Should the government discourage borrowing consumer debt to purchase foreign goods?
Henry Paulson has worked his ass off to get spendable credit in the form of home, auto and credit card debt into the hands of American Consumers just in time for Christmas. This credit is at the least propped up by taxpayers and at the most granted by taxpayers.
Do the taxpayers have the right to ask for restrictions on what can be purchased with that credit? Higher rates for imported goods?
Study after study shows Chinese made toys have lead and other chemicals... Is it time for tariffs?
