Should Iran governed by religious fanatics be allowed to obtain nuclear weapons

Anyone would be better than Trump, maybe than Tulsi.
Every time we say "anyone would be better than ...", we get a new lesson on just how bad that can be.

eg we got Trump because Rs said "anyone would be better than Clinton".

The question of the wisdom of giving U.S. weapons to Israel aside, I wouldn't call them religious fanatics. That's just not the impression I get.

Then You have not been the target of a Mossad assassination attempt. Your mind would change if you were.

I would be fine with Iran nuking NYC.

I disagree with many of those people politically, so it is good when they are murdered.

Just like the left celebrated Kirk’s murder.

Irans policy for nuclear weapons is offensive not defensive. They intend use them as soon as they can build them. Given they have murdered over 35000 of their own people and are the main source of terror and war all over the world shouldn't we step in and stop these homicidal rodents
Trump is no better. He just blew up an Iranian bridge yesterday, killing innocent Iranian civilians working and going about their day.

Trump should be impeached and prosecuted for war crimes when the Democrats take over in November.

And these Iranian religious fanatics are smarter than Trump and his boot-licking pitiful lackey Pete Hegseth. That is why Iran is winning the war right now.

The good news is religious fanatics wont have a nuclear bomb they would use to kill millions.

Except you don't know that. Putin and Kim Jong Un are also evil and they have nuclear weapons. And they haven't blown up the world yet.

This war proves why Iran wanted a nuclear weapon -- they were afraid of the U.S. launching an unprovoked attack. And they were correct.

You may be demon possessed. Go talk to your Pastor.

Thought it was destroyed last year. Why should we believe anything Trump says?

Should Iran, governed by religious fanatics, be allowed to obtain nuclear weapons? I'm not sure 'allowed' is the right word. They should be encouraged not to obtain nuclear weapons. Maybe negotiate a treaty where there are inspections? Oh yeah, we had one. Oh well.

The other question is should America, governed by religious fanatics, be allowed to keep their nuclear weapons?

U.S. Defense Secretary Pete Hegseth has frequently quoted militant biblical verses, notably Psalm 144:1 ("Blessed be the Lord, my rock, who trains my hands for war and my fingers for battle"), to frame the conflict with Iran as a holy mission. He has used this rhetoric to demand "overwhelming violence" against Iran.

Key details regarding Hegseth's quotes:
  • Psalm 144:1: Used to conclude a Pentagon briefing, emphasizing his view of divine support for American military action.
  • Psalm 18 / Vengeance Phrases: Quoted in a Pentagon worship service: "I pursued my enemies and overtook them, and did not turn back till they were consumed," which he described as fitting for the conflict.
  • "Break the teeth of the ungodly": Appealed to this imagery (derived from Psalm 58) in prayers regarding the conflict.
  • Crusader Rhetoric: His language, often aligning with a "Deus Vult" (God wills it) mentality, has drawn criticism from theologians and religious groups for equating military violence with divine action.
Hegseth has explicitly connected his Christian faith with a hardline stance against Iran, leading to debates about religious nationalism within the U.S. military.

It's ironic that Hegseth considers himself a Christian....when he was forced out of the Army National Guard for having a white supremacist tattoo on his chest.

If I was the target of a C.I.A. assassination attempt, that would not make them religious fanatics.

IT wouldn't prove they aren't.

Ratcliffe is.
Spanberger is.
Brennan is.
Tenet is.

It was yes or no question so which is it

Irans policy for nuclear weapons is offensive not defensive.
Prove it... Please don't use Isreal as a source, they said that Iran had th bomb 25 years ago
They intend use them as soon as they can build them.
Prove it. Even Death to America is misinterpreted..

The murder 35,000 Iranians and the US response is to kill 2000+ more and if they go for infrastructure it will kill hundreds of thousands if not millions...
