Should deported veterans be allowed to return to US?

Biden is an idiot to give blanket amnesty to any group of illegal aliens. What if they were rapists, drug dealers, smugglers, murderers or treasonists to name a few of their most popular occupations? I don't even care if the illegal alien was an Obama caliber Nobel contender. We all know that didn't take any talent or effort.

He is not giving blanket amnesty. He is developing guidelines for them to potentially return. All you demonstrate is that you are a racist.

Dementia nor his party could care less the harm that comes to Americans by letting all these people in. That's why while we are trying to recover from a virus thanks to his buddies in China, he's letting all these untested people into the country and busing them coast to coast. If they are alcoholics, so what? When they smash into your minivan and kill your family of five, then complain as far as Democrats are concerned.

As usual you have no clue what you are talking about. You have no evidence to back it up yet you accuse people who are not white of crimes.

Deported veterans typically enlisted in the U.S. military as green card holders and later found themselves in deportation proceedings after being convicted of certain crimes — including non-violent ones — that render immigrants deportable under U.S. immigration law.

Once deported, immigrants can be banished from the U.S. for three or ten years, even if they served in the military.

well that is dirty. They and their family should be allowed to return.

As far as I'm concerned, if you are deported for jay walking, you should never be allowed back into this country again, and I don't care if you served or not.

I do. If anyone should be deported it is the filthy Trump supporters who attacked our capitol on Jan 6. You seem to be tolerant of them. Maybe it is because they are white.

Except if you read the article Welfare Ray posted, he isn't giving a blanket amnesty, he's creating a process.

So if you got deported after serving time for rape or murder, um, yeah, you aren't going to get back in.

If you got deported for a DUI (something that actually happened to a neighbor of mine) then, yes, you are probalby going to get back in.
What about vets who were kicked out of the military with less than honorable discharges?

Btw: drunk driving is a great reason to deport immigrants and illegals

And in fact ANY reason is a good reason to deport illegal aliens

What about vets who were kicked out of the military with less than honorable discharges?
What about them? Frankly, one of the first things I'd get rid of is this "discharge classification" which just allows vindictive commanders to mess with people's lives.

(And for the record, I got an honorable discharge).

According to you, but we know you are a bigot.

Me, I just can't get worked up enough to ruin someone's life if it would only be a minor inconvenience if it was a white citizen.

Being a bad soldier is a mark of shame that should never go away

No, being a bad soldier means you weren't cut out to be a soldier... and the military should weed those people out early on but they don't.

In fact, quite the opposite.

The military does weed out bad soldiers

Drug users, sex offenders, thieves, and drunk drivers to name a few

They tend to tolerate the merely incorrigible deadbeats who do nothing seriously wrong but serve little military purpose

Or at least for one enlistment

Those kind of bad soldiers get an honorable discharge

But the real scumbags are sent packing before their enlistment is up and they dont deserve lifetime recognition

Nobody illegally got into the military.

If they are here illegally, they got into our military illegally.
Can you join the military if you are an illegal immigrant?
Yes. A non-citizen can enlist in the military. However, federal law prohibits non-citizens from becoming commission or warrant officers. In order for a non-citizen to enlist in the military, they must first be a legal immigrant (with a green card), permanently residing in the United States.

The Biden administration on Friday announced it is formalizing a new process to allow immigrants who served in the U.S. military and were later deported to return to the country legally.

Department of Homeland Security (DHS) Secretary Alejandro Mayorkas ordered the nation's immigration agencies to craft a "rigorous, systematic approach" to review the cases of immigrants whose deportations "failed to live up to our highest values."

"Together with our partner the Department of Veterans Affairs, we are committed to bringing back military service members, veterans, and their immediate family members who were unjustly removed and ensuring they receive the benefits to which they may be entitled," Mayorkas said in a statement. "Today we are taking important steps to make that a reality."

So not only did these people illegally get into the country, they also illegally got into our military as well. Not only does Dementia want to bring them back into the country, but restore all their military benefits.

I'm all behind our veterans and any benefits they can get, but I'm against veterans who weren't supposed to be here in the first place. The people they deport are usually illegals that got involved in some sort of criminal activity, and shouldn't be getting a free pass simply because also illegally served.
"Unjustly removed?" Someone should explain the law to Alejandro Mayorkas.

Or is being an absurd liar a requirement of the Whisperin" Joe Biden cabinet?
Looks like it is.

Again, that happens to be your opinion... I've seen vindictive commanders try to saddle soldiers with bad conduct discharges for bullshit reasons.

I remember one time I had a kid who transferred to another unit, and the rat-faced company clerk wanted to discharge him because he "already had the paperwork filled out" even though he was the one who didn't file the transfer paperwork like he was supposed to. I had to go to the CO to get this problem corrected.

We get that. But according to the OP, they are "usually" people with green cards. What about the rest?

One name comes to mind here: Hunter Biden.

So what makes you think that all illegals are people of color? If they deported a Russian immigrant for driving around drunk, I'm all for it.

Or maybe because those who were involved on the Jan 6th were not foreigners. You can't deport a natural born citizens. My Lord, what a stupid statement.

As usual you have no clue what you are talking about. You have no evidence to back it up yet you accuse people who are not white of crimes.

My goodness you lefties don't learn from your mistakes. Don't you know better than to challenge me?

Donald Trump is too stupid to know anything. He is a white nationalist and nothing more.

So where did Trump ever say he was a white nationalist? Trump said he was a Nationalist. Care for me to post the definition of what a nationalist is? It's your left-wing lying MSM that created that lie, and you puppets repeat it mindlessly.

So in other words they served this country when cowards who claim they are so Patriotic wouldn't.

So they served. So what? If they didn't serve legally, it doesn't count for shit as far as I'm concerned. If they served under a green card, great. But when they violated the terms of that green card, they should be deported like any other foreigner.

If they put their life on the line for this country then they should. This is a no-brainer.

Then it should be written somewhere, shouldn't it? I'm sure the commies might given this situation.

Come on over illegally! If you can get away joining our military and serve, you get a free pass instead of going through all that red tape like the millions of other immigrants. So tell your friends and neighbors.

Yeah, that will help control our now crisis on the border.
