Should America’s President be responsible for protecting and preserving American culture?

Or should they not ‘meddle’? Should they pretend it wasn’t American culture that built the greatest most powerful nation on the planet? It seems like protecting and preserving American culture should be the most paramount responsibility for the POTUS…..no?

"American culture" is what existed on this continent before European culture.
Over the centuries what that has turned into is basically a "stew" or melting pot culture of basically everything from all over the world.
The OP is basically a stupid question because true (native) American culture would involve hunting wild game, clothing oneself in animal skins or other natural fibers, hunting with stone age tools, practicing "pagan" religions, and living in natural shelters.
Now, in the modern age living like a true "American" (native) would be more like dwelling in a government provided, cinderblock house on one of our many native "reservations" scattered around the country.
You could try that if you'd like but chances are unless you are a direct descendant of an ACTUAL American your blood won't be pure enough to qualify you for reservation life.

Most of us value personal responsibility and accountability, ethics, integrity, effectiveness, efficiency, getting our money's worth for what we spend or pay in taxes, protecting our unalienable rights to liberty, opportunity, choice, happiness, prosperity, being able to give our opinions and beliefs without government retaliation, etc. etc. etc. etc.

Short of violating the rights of others, we should be able to speak, pray, worship, work, celebrate our holidays and traditions, and live our lives as we choose without interference from anybody. And nobody else should be required to involuntarily contribute or participate in that.

And if the majority in a community want a historic creche on the courthouse lawn at Christmas, they should be able to have that. If the people want real Christmas Carols sung at the high school Christmas concert, they should have that. If the people want separate restrooms and locker rooms etc. for biological boys and girls, they should have that.
