Calling any sex between an adult and a minor consensual is wrong. That is why it is called the AGE OF CONSENT. Kids do things adults tell them not because they want to but because they are raised to trust and respect adults. We teach them to be vulnerable to predators to make them easier to raise and that should be looked at. They are not consenting they are complying.

It didn't make those relationships legal. It only changed the punishments to match those given to adults who engage in sexual acts with opposite sex minors. Unless you are saying that pedophilia was legal for offenders who had sex with opposite sex minors, I don't see how bringing the punishments for those who have same sex relations with a minor in line could be legalizing pedophilia.

Of course, this doesn't even cover that the law isn't about pedophilia, since it doesn't apply to children under 14.
