Sesame Street introducing She-Male character

The 3 stooges did have a Transgender episode, where Curly posed as Señorita Cucaracha. So the phenomenon wasn't ignored in my day.

But he really wasn’t a butt pirate [emoji2526], so it was funny.

That is true, of course. But Mrs. Bixby thought that Curly was a broad

What's next? Are they going to reveal that Bert and Ernie are a gay couple or that Cookie Monster is a cross dresser and has a (stinky) foot fetish? These things could quite possibly be up next for Sesame Street.

I know that the one Tele Tubby was outed as LGBTQ, and Pee Wee Herman was busted for perversion. So it really isn't that unusual nowadays.

Totally different that in my day, where the 3 Stooges were Normative, and ditto for Popeye and Bluto, who were always pursuing Olive Oyl instead of Wimpy.

I can’t comment on cookie, but Burt and Ernie are a different story. Everyone knows.

When I was a little kid, we didn't have Sesame Street- instead we had Tom&Jerry, Popeye and the 3 Stooges.

Learned how cats and mice interact, the benefits of canned spinach as well as how to defend against a poke in the eyes.

Seems a lot more utilitarian to a little kid than teaching them about taking it in the caboose and pretending to be a broad.

BREAKING: Cross-dressing LGBT activist to appear on ‘Sesame Street’

Sick . . .

What the sick part is that its now being glorified to young children on Sesame Street. If some horse's ass wanted to do this back in the day, it wasn't put on TV. You've always had She-Males, its just that people used to not pretend it was normal.

To quote the tremendous Lou Reed, from back in the day.
"Holly came from Miami F.L.A.
Hitch-hiked her way across the U.S.A.
Plucked her eyebrows on the way
Shaved her legs and then he was a she
She said, hey babe, take a walk on the wild side,
Said, hey honey, take a walk on the wild side."

I'm not familiar with Billy Porter, but a quick search of him leads me to think that she-male is a poor phrase to use. He doesn't seem to be trying to live as a woman, he's a man who sometimes wears makeup and traditionally feminine clothing. As I said, that's my impression from a quick search. :dunno:

Which is the definition of a transgender. Lol! A man who wears makeup and dresses and tries to pass himself off as a female (or vice versa).

When I said he doesn't seem to be trying to live as a woman, I meant that he isn't trying to pass as female. Again, from what I can tell from a quick search, he's a man who likes traditionally female things as far as makeup and fashion, not a man who says he is a woman. The term shemale, in particular, I think means someone who not only dresses as a woman, but undergoes hormone treatments. I think it is more of a porn word than anything. :dunno:

Anyway, this Billy Porter seemed to be a gay man who identifies as a man.

Well, when you wear women's clothes and make yourself up to try to look like a woman, what do you call that? From what I've read and seen, many of them don't get hormone treatments. These people are nuts is the bottom line, and that is why normal people find this so confusing. You can't make sense of what disturbed people do.

I can't make sense out of plenty of things people do, many of them 'normal'. If the guy isn't trying to live as a woman, he isn't trying to live as a woman. And in the picture I saw of him on set, he didn't seem to be made up to look like a woman.

No need to focus on a strange individual's sexuality/sexual preferences when the show is targeting small children.

1. I don't know if they are going to focus on his sexual preferences or not. I wouldn't be surprised if they bring up that he's married to a man, but I don't know just what he's going to do on the show

2. That he's strange shouldn't change whether or not to focus on his sexual preferences when targeting small children. :p

Small children don't need to be confused by some weirdo on television.

I guess the makers of the show either disagree with you, or don't think whatever they will be doing with Billy Porter will be confusing to young children. :dunno:

Because they are leftists who want to push strange sexual proclivities on normal people for purposes of "densensitizing" and "normalizing" this type of thing. LIke I said in another thread, teach children not to bully others based on their strange ways. There is no need to teach them about each individual weirdo and no need to try to make it "normal" when it obviously is not. :eusa_hand:

As I already said, I don't know just what is going to be 'taught' regarding this man on the show, so I find it a bit difficult to comment on the appropriateness of it in my opinion.

Having a man wearing a dress and presenting himself as a sexually confused individual is certainly unnecessary.

There is no need to normalize mentally disturbed/sexually confused individuals. Concentrate on teaching children not to bully others and to treat others with kindness and to pity those who are disturbed on whatever level.
