'Serious moment': Reactions pour in from Congress after Trump strikes Iran

Iran never did anything bad to us.

We, on the other hand, have been abusing them for 50 years since they overthrew that prick, the Shah.
Dude, you are one seriously stupid a hole.

Iran has committed so many illegal terrorist acts against us there are too many to count.

I'll make a list for you later.

We knew that when they kept bragging how they supported HAMAS instead of Da Joos.
Democrats have so many Joos in their ranks but they never fail to criticize Israel and instead throw their support behind Hamas.

He loves to use the term "zionist entitity" just like the Mullahs.

This acting out reveals a serious case of arrested development.

Look up how many blacks are racist and get back to me, pal.
And despite that, most of us just live our lives and don't obsess on the color of somebody's skin. That's the way I live my life.
Sorry if you can't.
You do obsess over race. That is why you are a racist. Whites like you lying about how you live is why white supremacy continues. I won't be looking up black racism because what you call black racism is not even racism. So when you can find where blacks have the same history an present actions of mistreating whites by creating laws an policies to deny whites equal opportunities, let me know. Until that time, shut your mouth and take the responsibility whites have to end the racism they created in this country.

You racists whine about DEI being racist against whites when all it does is provide the same opportunity to non-whites as it does to whites. To you, meritocracy is anti-white racism. Now try to discuss the topic, because Trump is nw tying to wage wa because of a mess he made. Funny how this happens.

HAMAS was formed by Israel so maybe they should take a good look at what they created and lost control over them when they didn't like Israel retrack

In the wake of the "massive" strikes on Iran by the U.S. and Israel Saturday, members of Congress have begun weighing in -- with Democrats demanding answers -- and some calling for lawmakers to return to Washington to vote on resolutions that would check President Donald Trump's power to wage war.

Republicans have so far praised President Donald Trump's decision to undertake "massive combat operations" against Iran, with an eye towards liberating the Iranian people.

Democratic Sen. Tim Kaine of Virginia is calling on the Senate to return to Washington immediately to vote on a war powers resolution to check the president's authority to wage war with Iran.

"Has President Trump learned nothing from decades of U.S. meddling in Iran and forever wars in the Middle East?" Kaine said in a statement.

"These strikes are a colossal mistake, and I pray they do not cost our sons and daughters in uniform and at embassies throughout the region their lives," he added.

"The Senate should immediately return to session and vote on my War Powers Resolution to block the use of U.S. forces in hostilities against Iran. Every single Senator needs to go on the record about this dangerous, unnecessary, and idiotic action," he said.

Huh, well that's typical....Congress relinquished their power to the executive so they would not have to do anything. Now since POTUS did something with the power they relinquished they want to whine about it.

Tim Kaine is the same idiot who said the strike against Iran nuclear facilities would cause WWIII. He is always wrong as are most Dims.

At least all this bombing is bringing someone to the bargaining table. Congress didn't want to discuss it before. Warner and Kaine are trying to save their asses before the midterms and 2028.
There was a deal on the table that Trump refused. He will do anything to take attention away from his domestic problems.

Sort of like FDR. He also had Jews in his ranks, but that didn’t stop his blatant antisemitism.

As usual:
  • The head of Germany calls for an emergency meeting of the UN to discuss how the attack on Iran might inflame muslims within their own EU countries should they show any support for the strike.
  • The GOP by and large understand the tremendous strategic reshuffling of global power this represents and could free millions in Iran from horrible oppression.
  • Democrats scramble trying to make political hay about this as a pretense of shutting Trump down to regain power they never would have used just hoping to make it look like they are actually doing something.
  • And once again, we see that neither the EU nor the democrat party is really any kind of friend much less ally of the USA.

When have Islamic Terror Regimes ever honored their word? They were just stalling.

I know it bothers you that Trump has taken action to stop the Islamic Terror Regime from continuing to slaughter their own people by the tens of thousands, but if he proves able to effect a regime change of the world’s biggest sponsor of terrorism, it will be Trump’s legacy.

He will be deemed to be the best president of your lifetime, and your great-grandchildren will learn of his accomplishments in school.
