Serious discussion on "Diversity, Equity, Inclusion"

Stop crying.

That was sarcasm. Did you not get the other example of such in this thread?

Because I had to grow up with whites telling me how horrible, dumb, and inferior we blacks are.

You answer to a question I didn't ask.

Because I had to grow up with whites telling me how horrible, dumb, and inferior we blacks are.

Well, that's all horrible. I take it you grew up in South Africa under Apartheid?

Or...

A cage buried under a white trailer park in South Alabama?

(I could go on.)

Then there's the annual 3 weeks of slavery we had to learn about from k-12.

Oh good, common ground. Yea, I had to learn all that, too. All I really took away from all that was slavery is bad and a bunch of white people took up arms and ended that $h!t.

I still have to listen to that bullshit in places like this.

Then change the channel.

So go somewhere else with your white fragiity.

Seems to me the one calling for another one to go somewhere else and type is the fragile man.

What do I know? I don't speak puzzy.

I have read post after post at USMB, on X, on Facebook and elsewhere that:

1. Accuse Trump, Musk et al of racism, being Nazis, being fascists or whatever because they reject DEI in favor of qualifications, credentials, competence, effectiveness, efficiency, aptitude, vision, intuition .

2. Insist that society benefits when DEI is the criteria for hiring, appointments, promotions even if qualifications need to be lowered to achieve it.

Well if diversity is based on skin color I offer this chart for consideration:

And if LGBTQX++++ is to be included as the goal for DEI it further begs the question.

What question?

THIS QUESTION:
How does choosing people based on skin color, sexual orientation, gender preference, ethnicity, etc. improve the quality of life for all Americans? Makes America more free, more secure, more efficient, more effective, more prosperous? How does it make the military better? Commerce and industry better? Those values important to most American better?

Can we keep this more or less on topic and civil?

The sole serious thing I can say about “DEI” is that I cannot take DEI seriously.

That's maybe a better way of phrasing the question. But he seems to be not quite catching on to the concept.
Why do some whites not have the ability to understand that they have been the ones focusing on skin color? Why do some whites not understand that we see through your bs? You guys want to exclude everybody but whites again.

Racism is the name of the game now.

Do you have a problem with the facts?

So you, an idiot, shows up, submits that first gem, then if that's even the slightest bit questioned you imply that I have a problem with facts like your gem is a fact written in stone.

I leave it to you to find the flaw your own so-called logic.

Or...

Racism is the name of the game now.

Really? Despite my previous sarcasm when is this so-called new game gonna start affecting me? For instance, all my customers love me. "We love that Marchimedes, he can build, install, repair and destroy anything. We call him first. What's that you say? There's a new game in town and Marchimedes is white? Well fu(k why didn't somebody tell me before this. I shall now hire a black person to play with electricity near where I bath. In water. It's more impotent that I potentially more compared to the other guy that I die horribly than further white privilege and support unconscious racism..."

How do you figure? Sports have been one area of American life in which DEI has not been a factor at all.
Incorrect. Have you ever heard of the Rooney Rule? DEI is a major part of sports.

No, people like you want people of color to be hired solely for their skin color.

You're not fooling a soul.
Like I said, whites like you seem to have a problem understanding that you guys are the ONLY ONES who have done that. Hence your argument opposing policies trying stop that from happening means that you want to keep hiring whites solely based on skin color.

Wrong. Qualified black coaches continue to be denied head caching jobs in the NFL.

Lol.

"Whites"

You seem like you're focused on our skin color more than we are on yours.

Stop inventing racism where none exists.
