Yup. If DEI was the norm in basketball or football or whatever, most teams wouldn't be overly represented by black people. But the coaches and managers recruit according to ability regardless of anybody's skin color or any other criteria.

Think how boring sporting events would be if most teams had to play several people like me. There's certainly more people like me than there are super talented athletes.

This is another reason why this conversation is not going to be civil. The athletes PHYSICALLY compete against each other for the jobs. Stop ignorantly trying to compare only 2 sports with how people are hired in non-athletic jobs. Also stop pretending that the only employees in sports corporations are the motherfucking players. Coaches, trainers, office staff, etc, are mostly white in these franchises. The players are only part of the business.

DEI is not just about black people. White disabled people, white LGBTQ, and white veterans are included. THE NUMBER ONE BENEFICIARY OF DEI HAS BEEN WHITE WOMEN. So it is time you racists stopped your whining. Whites are 60 percent of the American population but 77 percent of the workforce. White men make up 30 percent of the population but nearly 70 percent of the workforce. Whites aren't entitled to every job, and every white who applies for a job isn't automatically more qualified than everybody else.

To answer the question, America is better off in every way due to DEI.

1. Accuse Trump, Musk et al of racism, being Nazis, being fascists or whatever because they reject DEI in favor of qualifications, credentials, competence, effectiveness, efficiency, aptitude, vision, intuition .

2. Insist that society benefits when DEI is the criteria for hiring, appointments, promotions even if qualifications need to be lowered to achieve it.

What question?

THIS QUESTION:
How does choosing people based on skin color, sexual orientation, gender preference, ethnicity, etc. improves the quality of life for all Americans? Makes America more free, more secure, more efficient, more effective, more prosperous? How does it make the military better? Commerce and industry better? Those values important to most American better?

Can we keep this more or less on topic and civil?

On an overall basis, who can swim better and faster.........black people, or white people? On an overall basis, who is more aggressive............men or women? On an overall basis, who are bigger and stronger.......men, or women? On an overall basis, who are better at nurturing.........men, or women?

And the list goes on, and on, and on! They do not want you to hire/promote/draft the best person for any job, they want you to employ someone who may NOT be suited for the job; or at least NOT as suited as someone else, because they think YOU SHOULD, lol.

A PERFECT example of DEI------------> they had a 50-50 chance of winning the Presidential election, if they did NOT have to put forth Kamala as their standard bearer and having a small primary instead. But they could NEVER do that, as it would have pi**ed off all of their DEI followers and friends.......especially the POLITICIAN who almost single handedly gave Biden the White House, Jim Clyburn!

And so, these LEFTISTS come on here and excoriate all of us for giving them DJT. We didn't do all of it, they helped massively, lol. Because they had to stick to their DEI rules and promote Mamala, instead of FORCING her to win even a small primary..........they pi**ed off many Independents, Black voters, Jewish voters, and Asian voters. Do not EVER let them tell you DJT is all on us. They helped a lot, so I suppose when he succeeds, they get part of the credit too; although you would never know it, because they are DEIing for 26 and beyond, and we thank them for their incompetence, and their inability to read a room......any room-)
