Separation of powers is the best prevention of an over reaching government.
Our founding Fathers were brilliant in realizing that separation of powers is the best safeguard to a tyrannical government. That is what we need to focus on.
Those who focus on gun rights are missing the spirit of the the founding Fathers. Concerns on arms was not addressed until the amendments.
Let's focus on the heart of the Constitution.

How's that separation of powers thing working out to keep Biden and Democrats from destroying the country?

Yeah, that's why they wanted to separate the federal government from our guns. Enter that second amendment.

Says the Dem party threatening to RIG the SCOTUS by adding half a dozen left wing justices, wow just wow.
You are beyond a dumbass if you consider yourself a conservative and you are complaining about the SCOTUS.
You are not a conservative. You are just a dumbass. You will always be a dumbass.

Same could be said of the freedom of speech, freedom of the press, freedom of assembly, freedom of religion, etc.

Do you come up with these OPs by reading used toilet paper?

Correct.

Guns have nothing to do with preventing government excess and overreach.

The Framers’ original intent of the Second Amendment was to safeguard the authority of the states to create and regulate state militia and to regulate firearms as the states saw fit, consistent with the fact that the Second Amendment applied solely to the Federal government, not the states and local jurisdictions.

You supported vaccine mandates. You don't give a fuck about the Constitution.

Republicans are stonewalling much of what he wants to do. The Supreme Court is checking congress. It needs to work better but it is working, dumbass.
By working better, it would ban 90% of the progressive legislation on the books as well as current legislation.

Separations of powers IS a good thing. It keeps the legislation in check from partisans who would pass laws to further their own power at the expense of the electorate. It keeps the power of the throne in check to the people's representatives, and it keeps the judicial in check through the power of the Executive.

The problem is not the separation of powers. It is the collaboration of parties who hold far to much of that power.

The Executive is the States representative to the World.
The Legislative is the People's voice in the Central Government.
The Judicial is a check against both, but mostly a check against the Legislative.

The States are where the real power of the people resides and is supposed to have power over the Federal except in matters of commerce and foreign policy.

You believe that still exists?

Democrats and RINO pigs have destroyed our Constitution.

I do not think the yahoos on this site ever had a government class.
They skipped class to smoke and find a gun to keep them safe. They do not realize an educated brain will keep you safer than any gun.

There is no real separation of power. The idea that A democrat Congress is "seperate" from a Democrat administration is too absurd for words.
