Scott Walker: I Took On Unions, I Can Take On ISIS

The President is doing the minimum to deal with ISIS so he won't piss off his far left base and he has not been effective given ISIS still has most if not all of their gains. I will remind his own party opposed a declaration of war on ISIS not just the GOP funny how when it comes to something that might be unpopular you want him to go through Congress instead of using his phone and pen.

Again, if the countries in the region aren't taking action, why should we?

Turkey had 3000 tanks and 500,000 troops on the border with ISIL controlled territories. The could mop up ISIL in a couple of weeks. THey've chosen not to.

You mean like in Michigan, the workers paradise? A workers paradise with no jobs. No wonder the employees in Southern States are smart enough to keep voting them out.

Actually, Michigan lost jobs to Japanese and German companies that have stronger unions, and the only reason the Japanese and Germans set up factories to do final assembly in JesusLand was because Reagan - yes, Reagan- threatened to impose tariffs on them if they didn't.

The Big Three still didn't look at what the Japanese were doing right, though, which includes actually making workers part of the process.

At some point rather than blaming greedy capitalists, you should own up to that you're a lousy employee with a bad attitude, that's why they keep firing you

Guy, I have never been "fired". I've been laid off. It's not the same thing. Sorry you don't understand the difference, but again, you have those sharply honed comprehension skills you learned in Home School in the Double Wide.

There are two differences between us, doublewide.

First, I have both fired employees for sucking and "laid off" employees due to downsizing, and I'll let you in on a little secret, Raymond. Layoffs are the time you fire the ones you want to fire for sucking while saving yourself the extra time and documentation you have to put in to fire them for sucking. Layoffs are a great time to do more major corrections. You don't let your A players go or even your B's. And bad attitudes go to the top of the list, it's by far the best time to get rid of them since bad attitudes are harder to document.

Second, I only have one butt cheek on each side

That's the liberal spin version. Detroit had both bad management and bad unions. But what pushed them over the edge was government's belligerence towards management. Unfortunately once you drive them out, they don't come back even if you try to change. Michigan has made effort to undo what they did to themselves, but they have a long way to go and little credibility. Southern States care about jobs. That's why I'm here, not where I grew up, Kalamazoo, which is where "kaz" comes from. Well, jobs and the weather...

Yeah, guy, well, most companies don't work like a Print Shop in Jesusland. Frankly, I have little companies like yours sucking my dick all day trying to get me to throw a couple purchase orders their way.

Layoffs are a great time to do more major corrections. You don't let your A players go or even your B's. And bad attitudes go to the top of the list, it's by far the best time to get rid of them since bad attitudes are harder to document.

Except in the case i refer to, he didn't keep his "A" Players. He fired his long-term employees because he had hired them in the early Oughts and they were making more money than the new kids he just hired. The reason he had to let so many people go is that he hired a bunch of people on the assumption we'd keep growing instead of losing 60% of our business in 2008 due to his brilliant leadership.

How here's the thing. In the time after I left, the company has hired and fired by my count six people who did exactly what I did. Most of them didn't last a year. The one lady who they kept after firing myself and another senior purchasing agent herself got fired when the General Manager who led the night of the long knives left before he could be fired. So yeah, maybe there are companies that "clean house' when a recession hits, but really, all a recession does is do the same thing a Zombie Attack does. you just find out who the real assholes are.

I've hired people, I've fired people and I was once a Union Steward.

Not ALL Unions are bad. No way.

But too many of them are.

When was the last time a Japanese or German Union shut their Company DOWN?

Think about it, moron. They just don't do that anymore. They just don't. Hardly ever.... If ever.

Companies can deal with high wages. Comapnies can deal with Unions. They even LIKE Unions.

It is so much easier to deal with one entity (the Union) instead of having to deal with thousands, or tens of thousands, of individuals.

But when they start shutting Companies down because they can't get MLK day off with pay -- That's out of control.

Companies didn't leave high wages for cheaper workers.... Anybody that believes that is stupid beyond bellief.

They left STUPID Unions who couldn't be worked with.

German Auto Manufacturers have Unions, strong ones, and they pay their workers twice as much and are also twice as profitable.

Know why? Of course not. You're a dimocrap which means you're stupid.

GM deals quite well with German Unions. So does Ford -- Who is the 2nd biggest Auto Manufacturer in Europe, BTW.

Know what they can't deal? Know what NOBODY can deal with?

American Unions. They suck. They really, really, really, suck.

Been there, done that, sold the T-Shirt.

The big boys, the UAW, AFL-CIO, United Steel workers..... I belonged to all of them at one time -- They are fucking idiots....

I wasn't going to do this but...

Look, I was a Security Guard at Republic Steel for a while. Didn't like it, didn't want the job but they wanted me and that was the only job open.

So I'm doing my rounds late one evening and I'm checking the Executive Offices.... I hear sounds, like sobbing or something and I go for my gun (yes we were armed).

I walk into the Executive Vice President's Office (the main man) and he's sitting there with his head in his hands, crying.... Sort of crying...

I looked around, with my hand on my holstered gun and said, "Sir, are you okay?" Startled him and he looked around, kinda embarrassed. He was.

He had just gotten back from a big pow-wow with the Union. He told them essentially that they had to modernize. The Japanese were killing them on Steel prices and they couldn't compete anymore (this was in 1976).

He promised them they would not cut one job. He said he would put it in writing -- Nobody loses a job.

The Union said, "You build new equipment and we will shut you down."

Within a year, I left for Florida. I just said, "Fuck it, these people are INSANE."

Within a year of me leaving Steel and Tubes was closed and most of the Steel Plants in Cleveland area were gone.

And so was I. And so were 300,000 (THREE HUNDRED THOUSAND) Steel jobs in the Cleveland area in the next ten years.

They didn't leave to get away from high wages, they left because they couldn't compete anymore.

You morons wouldn't know this, but that area used to have THE highest standard of living of anywhere on the Planet. Dee-troit had the highest per capita income of any City.... Not in the Country -- IN THE WORLD!

Now. Now it's all shit. And it's because of one reason..... dimocrap filth and their criminal Union pals.

Period.

Don't believe it. I don't care. Stick around, you can all make a living selling peanuts to each other. You fucking deserve it.

Yes, Double Wide, you've found a part of the country where being a piss-ignorant shit-kicker is considered a virtue.

The problem with the south is that it doesn't realize it's a fucking third world country that just happens to be attached to an industrialized one.

Is that right, scumbag?

Is that why MILLIONS of people are FLEEING the North and California?

You scumbags can't even provide jobs for your children. They gotta come down here for work.

The North is dead, it just hasn't stopped breathing yet.

But then you have to ask yourselves WHY they couldn't compete.

Did they not compete because mean old union guys wanted MLK day off...

Or because you had companies like Romney's GS Steel, that were just looking to maximize shareholder profit and iddn't look to re-invest in new machinery and new equipment like the Germans and Japanese were doing?

GM deals quite well with German Unions. So does Ford -- Who is the 2nd biggest Auto Manufacturer in Europe, BTW.

American Unions. They suck. They really, really, really, suck.

GM and Ford deal with German unions because THEY HAVE TO. not because they want to.

Now, I do agree, the way the Germans do unions- where unions are organized by the company rather than nationally - is actually a better idea. The Unions have just as much a stake in the success of the company as the owners do.

But they also have quite a lot of say on how operations are managed and done, including a say on who the executives are.

I do think a bigger problem than the unions are the attitudes of the management. I've worked for three American companies, one Japanese Company and one British owned company.

And frankly, the biggest ass-hattery I see from management has been in the American companies. Usually when you have owners and managers who inherited their positions rather than earned them.

Walker equates American teachers with ISIS. Imagine this moron as POTUS.

LOL, so you're an administrator? LOL, who'd blow you for your letterhead and envelope orders? We don't pursue outsourced print jobs, they are low margin, so they can have them.

You keep telling yourself that, Skippy. The one thing I would believe is he fired you more for being an arrogant ass with a bad attitude over actual ineptness, but it was clearly a combination of the two. We own and run businesses because we are good at it, not because we make stupid short term decisions. I bet even if he has cycled people through that job, he wouldn't hire you back ever. You know that's true, don't you?

Here's the bottom ten in growth in the US.

You've obviously never been down here, what you think of the south is what you read in To Kill a Mocking Bird. Well, in your case actually from watching the movie...

There is one thing you'd like about the south, doublewide, it's a lot easier to find things cooked in lard...

douchebag.

We've created more jobs in the South by accident than you knob-slurpers up North up North have in the last ten fucking years.

The North is dead. It is where you belong

LOL, so you're an administrator? LOL, who'd blow you for your letterhead and envelope orders? We don't pursue outsourced print jobs, they are low margin, so they can have them.

No, I'm the guy who issues 5 million in purchase orders a year and I've fired about 20 vendors who couldn't cut it.

You keep telling yourself that, Skippy. Guy, you own a little print shop that probably doesn't even offer health coverage, in a Jesusland state...

And the fact they paid me a "please don't sue us" package when I left tells me they KNEW what htey did was wrong.

Guy, the only jobs created in the South were because you were willing to exploit your environment... which is why the south is toxic...

Actually, I've been to Texas, Virginia, Louisiana, Missouri, Arkansas...

Really, very lttle has changed my mind that Southerners are piss-ignorant, racist and believe in sky fairies.
