47 Ways Trump Has Made Life Unaffordable

The White House and congressional Republicans’ own data show that the average 2025 tax refund will increase by much less than $1,000, with most Americans earning less than $100,000 in income seeing no increase.
My tax preparer said that the 3K we got back was a direct result of Trump's tax cuts....Otherwise we would have owed a bit.

Why is California reliant on fuel from the middle east?

They can extract and refine all the fuel they need JUST IN THEIR STATE.

SEEMS LIKE REAL DUMB ASS STRATEGY BY THE COMMIES.
Is no lib going to step into the batter’s box and answer this question?

War with Iran has certainly caused inflation.

For the life of me, I do not understand why the USA relies on ME oil.
We don't. American Oil corporations sell oil on the global market. And us Americans buy oil on the global market. In other words, American oil companies don't sell Americans oil for cheap because they make more money this way.

So we don't rely on the straights of Hormuz. Don't you remember Trump saying that very ignorant thing? It doesn't matter if we get our oil from there. If that oil gets cut off, it drives the price of oil up. So now the people who do get their oil from Hormuz are now asking American oil companies if they will sell them some oil. Supply and demand makes the cost go up.

Remember the other ignorant thing Trump said about this subject? He said "WE" make a lot of money when oil prices go up. Who's we? The USA? The American Oil companies? The government because they get taxes off it? I mean who the F does Trump thing we are when he says WE are getting rich off high oil prices? Is he a socialist? Is the government in the oil business?

My tax preper said that I may have gotten anything back but if Kamala was president I would have had to pay. He's fos.

Trump’s tariffs cancel out what he claims is ‘the largest tax cut in American history’: The average person will lose $300 even after refunds

Conservative-Led Group Torches Donald Trump's Cost-Of-Living Record In New Ad Blitz

Home Of The Brave's $15 million "Sticker Shock Summer" campaign blames Trump's tariffs, tax bill and policies for making everyday life more expensive.

Home Of The Brave’s “Sticker Shock Summer” initiative seeks to “educate Americans on how the administration’s tariffs, war in Iran, One Big Beautiful Bill Act, and other policies have directly contributed to the affordability crisis,”

The campaign “will center on a simple reality: Summer is supposed to be a season of vacations, barbecues, road trips, and a little breathing room,” the group stated. “But for millions of Americans, the cost of summer fun has gone up. Gas, flights, hotels, restaurants, groceries, electricity, and everyday seasonal items are all more expensive — and the Trump administration’s policy choices are a major reason why.”

Great commercial. Are they wrong?

Affordability has two sides—prices and pay. While public debate fixates on rising costs, the administration’s most serious harm has come from its policies that hold down wages and weaken workers’ bargaining power. The 47th president has pursued an agenda that undercuts incomes for all but the wealthiest households, slows job growth, and invites employer exploitation and abuse—including unprecedented attacks on federal workers’ collective bargaining rights that make him the biggest union buster in U.S. history. His policies have systematically stripped workers of leverage in the labor market, driving down pay and making it harder for working families to afford the basics.

While workers’ wages—particularly those of low-wage workers—saw sharp inflation-adjusted increases between 2019 and 2024, these gains fell far short of recouping the losses of the four prior decades.

Your energy costs like your electric bill, 16.4% higher. Am I fos?
Ground beef $6.90 a pound. I can't afford to be fos.
Tariff burden is $760 for every household. I think it's more but you say I'm fos.

Just as the commies seamlessly shifted from “BIDEN IS IN PERFECT COGNITIVE HEALTH” to “KAMALA” overnight….they will seamlessly shift to whomever wins the Pub nomination for 2028 is “WORSE THAN A MILLION TRUMPS”.

We will all see it happen.

Everything these commies cry about is nothing but propaganda.

Many BILLIONS IN STOLEN TAXPAYER MONEY IN CALIFORNIA AND MINNESOTA IS DOCUMENTED….THE COMMIES DO NOT CARE.

Just one of so many examples.

Is it really Donald Trump who made the cost of living unaffordable, or was it the political left with their resistance to domestic oil production? The United States has enough potential oil reserves to isolate ourselves from the world oil market with the right oil‑refinery modifications, production policies, and legal framework.

I believe the American oil industry hesitates to expand because of political pressure from the left and because OPEC can flood the market with cheaper oil. With the right laws in place — and if Americans were willing to accept around $3 per gallon, or slightly above, for gasoline — the U.S. could achieve energy independence while still exporting oil.

We can pull out of any treaties or rewrite any laws this country chooses. A single law requiring all oil produced in the United States to be consumed domestically first — with prices set at a level that still allows oil companies to make a profit — would ensure that no one could hold us hostage over oil.

However, I do admit that the current situation encourages oil companies to accept the status quo because they make more money selling their high‑quality petroleum overseas. In fact, U.S. shale (fracked) oil is a high‑quality petroleum grade that is in strong demand globally and often sells at premium prices on the world market.

Household worries over finances hit highest level since July 2022, New York Fed survey shows

U.S. households grew more worried over their financial situation, with the share of those seeing things as much worse than they were 12 months ago hitting a nearly four-year high, according to a Federal Reserve Bank of New York survey.

While the central bank’s monthly Survey of Consumer Expectations, released Monday, showed the inflation outlook mostly unchanged, the general perception of conditions deteriorated.

The share of those seeing their current situation as “much worse” than a year ago leaped to 13.3%, up about 2.7 percentage points from April and the highest since July 2022. The total of those seeing either a much or somewhat worse situation from a year ago stood at 43.7%, which the New York Fed said was the highest since January 2023.

At the same time, the outlook for the coming year wasn’t any better.
