The science on global warming is settled, so settled that 20 climate scientists are asking President Barack Obama to prosecute people who disagree with them on the science behind man-made global warming.

Scientists from several universities and research centers even asked Obama to use the Racketeer Influenced and Corrupt Organizations Act (RICO) to prosecute groups that “have knowingly deceived the American people about the risks of climate change, as a means to forestall America’s response to climate change.”

RICO was a law designed to take down organized crime syndicates, but scientists now want it to be used against scientists, activists and organizations that voice their disagreement with the so-called “consensus” on global warming. The scientists repeated claims made by environmentalists that groups, especially those with ties to fossil fuels, have engaged in a misinformation campaign to confuse the public on global warming.

They stand to have invest billions in new technologies, if AGW is accepted as fact. So, it is about the money, but dcn't get fooled by the denialist sleight of hand about who profits the most. Their spokes"scientists" get paid millions and don't even have to do any research to prove their contentions, unlike those who work on government grants at 1/10 the salaries.

The article said nothing about FEMA camps but it did talk about scientists wanting to jail other scientists because they don't agree with their science. Do you agree someone should be jailed when their theory or hypothesis doesn't match with their peers. Also, there is no settled science. There are settled physical laws but those are more related to the truest sciences....mathematics. If you believe that science is settled then you're not even worthy of calling yourself a scientist. In essence, you're a disgrace to the field.
