Not even safe at an elitist school. What is a wingnut Q-anon soccermom with too much time on her hands supposed to do?

They'd be safe at our children's school. CRT is banned from being taught. In fact many schools and even states are banning it

How do you know if it's CRT or not?

Decoder rings? Right.

Moonglow did the contract state critical race theory would be taught? Cause, without that, they do.

Anybody know what it is specifically the school is teaching that these parents are calling CRT?
it seems you don't.

critical race theory covers a great deal. Much of it already taught in school as history.

Critical race theory (CRT) is a body of legal scholarship and an academic movement ... that seeks to critically examine U.S. law as it intersects with issues of race in the U.S.

I would say that would include:
US Constitution 3/5ths compromise
The Dredd Scott Decision
Plessy V Ferguson and Brown V Board of Education

So let's not teach that in school.

I didn't see in the timeline where Hitler and Jesse Owens waved to each other and FDR snub Owens? Just wondering why the Jesse Owens lie persists to this day.

"However, any parent who waged a public campaign of false and misleading statements and inflammatory attacks harmful to the employees, the reputation, or the financial stability of Columbus Academy would be in clear violation of the Enrollment Agreement and would be denied re-enrollment for the following school year," the spokesperson said.

Oh WAIT?!?! Private schools have clauses where you can't defame the teachers or you're gone? But all the folks here want CAMERAS in the public schools so teachers who are, you know, toilet training kindergarteners can also defend against warrantless attacks by crazy parents?

Sure.

This will turn out just exactly like "defund the police"

But let's go for it, folks.

Article in my local paper where our public school supt was interviewed. Not implemented in my district either, and he outlined the curriculum approval process, which for 20 years has included a committee of teachers, parents and high school students.

Yeah. I see I've been secretly taught many of those very things about history. It's something else that's driving the rightwingers bonkers about CRT.

Why should the kids be punished for where ever their parents choose to stand on things?

God bless you and those who truly pay in the end always!!!

Save the garbage for your kids, ours will never be taught the nonsense
Critical race theory has become the new Assault Weapons Ban.

They have no clue what CRT or an AW is, they just know to be against it.

I am a teacher and I know precisely what it is. Most conservatives have no problem with actual history and facts being taught. This has always included topics like slavery, Jim Crow, the Civil Rights Movement, etc. Fine.

The problem comes when you STOP presenting this as objective facts (history) and start encroaching on your students' "experience" or whatnot, especially in relation to their own family culture. That is for their family to decide, not for me to decide. When you begin to look at the makeup of your class and get into personal experience like "Katie is privileged because Katie is white, here is how" and the opposite of that, you have FAR overstepped. For many reasons, and in many ways.

Teachers/admin are willing to overstep in this manner because they seek to overlay ideology onto curriculum. But that is not our job, and it is not within our rights as educators, unless you're talking about basic human rules of society like: don't steal, be kind, etc (You want your child in a classroom with those rules).

That's about all they had from the school in the article.

Defund the Police is a stupid slogan. Probably lost as many votes for the Democrats as "Hi I'm Bernie, I'm a Socialist!" in South Fla.

Some of the curriculum and school teachings that the parents took issue with pictured above. Gross and Gonzalez founded the Pro-CA Coalition, campaigning against what they say is 'political extremism and a culture of fear and administration' at the school

Link to the REAL curriculum please.

I bet they skimmed over that part before signing...
There were no false or misleading statements here so you lose again.
