I say end public schools. Make them all private.

Remember when our parents were growing up they had public pools where you could take your kids to swim. Today you have to have a $125 Lifetime Fitness membership. There no public pool.

And a lot of people who can't afford a gym that includes a pool, a lot of poor people go to those cheap places that are only $20 a month. What are they called Planet Fitness?

Well let's get rid of public schools too. If you are poor, you send your kid to a Planet Fitness type school. It's all you can afford. If you have money you send your kid to a better school. But bottom line is this. If you want to send your kid to a $20 a month school or $125 a month school. That's your decision. And if you can't afford $20 a month, don't send them to school. You no longer have to send your kids to school.

That alone will fix the Detroit Public Schools. Now kids who don't want to be there don't have to go.

You don't have to end them. Every state has its own department of education. The federal dept of education is simply redundant.

Let each state run their own school system.

Democrats don't believe in the Constitution. They believe in mob rule. So, if that is the case, then most Americans would favor school choice. But, just out of curiosity, why are you against parents choosing the best school for their children.

I don't care if Louisiana wants to only teach creation. They'll just see no good companies locate in their state because the employee pool of talent isn't smart enough and smart people from other states won't relocate there.

Creationism or big bang are not necessary to be taught in school anyway. Science can be taught without either of them. BTW, creationism isn't taught in government schools anyway.

Evolution need not be believed to be taught to extract scientific principles from it. Beyond that, there isn't anything that can't be taught, in thread science world, that requires either of them.

What? Public school is free. School choice just merely means that the poor can use those same tax dollars used for public schools to be used to send them to the school of their choice - also for free, which gives the poor and minorities a better chance in life. I don't know how the left could be against that, unless they're afraid better educated children will eventually escape from the democratic plantation.

Well the way I always understood School Choice is that it allows rich people to get tax breaks to send their kids to private schools and it takes money away from public schools.

It hurts more poor people than it helps.

But hey, Republicans won. I hope to god you guys pass School Choice. If you don't, why didn't you? What are you waiting for?

I'm serious. Since so many poor and middle class people like Trump so much, I want all Republican policies to pass. See how much they like them then.
