Does anyone remember when President Obama and the Democrats swept into power in 2009? The right wing whined, wailed, and told lots of scary stories, you know, like these:
Story: The Liberals will take away ALL our guns!
Reality: Gun ownership and gun laws were unaffected.
Story: Obamacare would bring about DEATH PANELS, and grannies being wheeled into the streets to die!
Reality: 30 million uninsured people had healthcare coverage that previously did not.
Story: Obama and the Democrats would turn America into a "Muslim dominated Socialist hellhole!"
Reality: America recovered from the Great Recession left over from Republican George W Bush. The S&P, NASDAQ, and NYSE hit record highs for that time period. The Obama administration planned and ordered the raid that killed Osama Bin Laden, which did not happen under 8 years of Bush.
Story: Obama was a Kenyan born Muslim
Reality: Obama was a Hawaiian born Christian (and produced documentation to prove it)
Now we're hearing some of these same things about Biden and Harris...as well as stories about our postal service, which has been delivering mail ballots in many states (Red and Blue) for over a decade.
Do your homework people. Don't swallow these scary stories hook, line, and sinker!
