FWIW, "voter suppression" = a rather subjective concept, would be limited to a small portion of the USA.

If one does things right and has no issues (criminal concerns) 4-5 years is about how it works now.

Literacy Tests would make sense because if you can't read and know the issues and candidates than you can't be an informed voter.
