Sarah Palin resigning as Governor of Alaska

Her resignation makes her look weak and muddle-headed IF she plans to run for President because it looks like she abandoned her responsibilities for craven political ambition. (I don't know about Senate because I don't know the Alaska landscape. Maybe it helps her.) But it makes perfect sense if she says "screw it, I'm outta here." If she resigned because of her family, I'd respect her for that.

Of course, all the conservatives defending her honor will look like morons if she did resign because of scandal, but I'm taking her at her word and assuming that there is nothing untoward in her resignation.
But will the liberals look like morons for attacking her if it turns out that she resigned without scandal?
I think they will, but I suspect they will think they don't.
and since the FBI wasnt investing her, thats all another lie from the liberal blog liars
It was Huffingtonpost that first reported that Trig was actually Bristol's baby, not Ms Palin's baby.
Liberal blogs have no boundaries on ethics.

IMO it would be more shocking that she resigned without a scandal lurking in her background. Her resignation would only be understandable if because of some personal tragedy or a scandal that could hurt Alaska is in the offing.

And dcon, you're a moron. I suppose you think quitting to study to be President is a valid reason to abandon your post.

I'll say it. I voted for McCain and Palin. Wha'ts residing in the WH now is certainly not fit.. never ever will be either.

I don't know. it would have helped if Obama had quit being Senator to study up a bit.

just like your elected asshole you spout "words that don't matter" she didn't abandon anything. she turned it over to capable hands in order to protect her children from assholes like you on the left. plain and simple.

If anyone who is arguing that she resigned because of scandal when there is none, then yes, they will look like morons.

It is question to be posed because her resignation is unusual. But so far, there is no indication that this is reason why she resigned.

Like I said, if she resigned for family reasons, I respect her for that. But I cannot imagine this helps her in a run for the Presidency, at least based on what we know so far.

ROFL...

She's clearly taking a national run seriously...

MM makes good sense with the Senate idea...

But I think Governor Palin sees the currect Administration as a very real and present threat to the Republic and has taken steps to be more effective in the Mid-term elections.

But it is HYSTERICAL how those on this board who so often sought to down play Governor Palins position; are now clammering on about how critical that job was to her character; he chances and every other facet of consideration.

LOL...

They'll be much wetting of MANY a pant over this one. The most effective Conservative of this time; has just cut herself free of the only thing that kept her out of the hunt.

 Oh SNAP!

"The most effective conservative of this time" can't even get the majority of her party...

FOX News/Opinion Dynamics Poll. May 12-13, 2009.

Mike Huckabee - 20%
Mitt Romney - 18%
Newt Gingrich - 14%
Sarah Palin - 13%
Rudy Giuliani - 12%
Mark Sanford - 4%
Jeb Bush - 3%
Bobby Jindal - 3%
Someone else (vol.) - 3%
Too soon to say (vol.) - 7%
Unsure - 4%

Of course they will...

Palin is the only real threat to Leftist Federal Power; so they are going to attack her relentlessly and without regard to what she does.

Truly, you would have to be taking some serious hallucinogens to believe this.

ROFL... Oh I hear ya sis...

That Palin has been lambasted with endless lies... was for another reason... that you gals felt she was a real threat, HAS NEVER resulted in such...

ROFLMNAO...

The simple fact is that IF Palin had been on the top of the 08 ticket, she'd be living on Pennsylvania Avenue right now; and she is the reason why the BOY King managed to squeak in with a 5 point margin in a race which he otherwise should have slammed by 15points...

So sell that bullshit somewhere else... Palin is prepping to hit it hard in '10 and if the elections come in 2012, she'll be the next President. Bank it...

If there was any dirt to have on Palin, it would have LONG AGO been thrown... The Lord of the idiots had a little over a year to get what he wants to get done, done.

By this time next year, we'll have three quarters of double digit unemployment, and 6 straight quarters of negative growth; hyperinflation will be coming into play and all those lofty "I'll never TAX YOU ONE RED CENT" promises will be setting beside "READ MY LIPS" as great one term Administration killers...

By the time 2012 comes long, even the lowliest dumbass, will be hungry for principled leadership and anxious to see a return to principles on which provide for American opportunity and exceptionalism.

interesting that you ignored a later poll with a smaller MoE

CNN/Opinion Research Corporation Poll. May 14-17, 2009. N=448 Republicans nationwide. MoE ± 4.5.

"Next, I'm going to read a list of people who may be running in the Republican primary for president in 2012. After I read all the names, please tell me which candidate you would be most likely to support for the Republican nomination for president in the year 2012, or if you would support someone else. Former Arkansas governor Mike Huckabee, Alaska Governor Sarah Palin, former Massachusetts governor Mitt Romney, former speaker of the House Newt Gingrich, former Florida governor Jeb Bush."

FTR... the only reason I voted for McCain was BECAUSE of Palin... I figured she would be one heart beat from the Presidency and that was as close as any American was going to get in that election.

Dive, perhaps you noted this, but it is another case of a leftist confusing Conservatives with Republicans...

Huckabee isn't a Conservative... He's a fascist, as is Romney... Governor of Mass? Are ya KIDDING ME?

Huckabee set the US up for this Marxist... I wouldn't vote for that low rent fascist **** on a BET... he's a younger, fatter, mo'faux Christian McCain. No thanks...

Palin is the leading CONSERVATIVE of this time... PERIOD.
