This is why... institutionalized spirituality is a BUSINESS,and what he's getting at,is that mankind is using it as a tool to fleece and control people. To me,the whole planet is Gods church,and spirituality is 24/7,growing and evolving as the individual from the core.. centering to your Creator.. and what you do,and how you perform in everyday life. Not heirs you put on one day at a superficial building,and then be an asshole hypocrite the rest of the week.charity begins at home,not what you put in the collection plate. We are judged by our actions,not by church attendance.

Santorum is a catholic correct, was he talking about the Papacy inwhich he is a member in their See? Because I see the the Catholic Church as one of the largest of institutionalized religion and their history is one of murder and subjugation to those opposed to them.
