San Francisco business owner arrested for doing the government’s job

By your logic, we could.

But we don’t, because we understand that rights are extended to people who we don’t like.

That’s the hard part about having a constitutional republic. It’s the part you don’t understand.
Not necessarily

We treat free speech differently than loitering and disturbing the peace

Protestors outside planned parenthood disturb the peace a lot more than the lady in San Francisco.

You’re inventing excuses to deprive people of rights.

Do not say “a lot more” because you dont know that

But political protest is given more leeway

It’s not. Speech is speech. We don’t protect any speech more than any other speech. You want to make special classes?

The lady was not disturbing the peace by any definition. You’re just looking for excuses to deprive people of rights. that’s what authoritarians do.

Wrong

In 2019 Black LIES Matter blocked a freeway in a major west coast city and kept it blocked for many hours with no attempt by authorities to make them move
Irrelevant. She wasn’t blocking access to the store.

You’re trying to invent reasons to have your rights and simultaneously deprive others of them.

We don’t protect political speech any more than any other speech. It violates the very idea of freedom of speech.

I can see you never owned a small business

Everyone has free speech, but some speech is freer than others.

That's what youre claiming, Orwell?

By the way, loitering laws are unconstitutional too.

You just love finding ways to oppress your "undesireables".
They are undesirable for reasons that business owners and the public at large can appreciate

Sorry you dont get it

Being homeless is not against the law.

If you can haul the homeless to a mental hospital or rehab for sitting on the sidewalk, then you could do the same to any American sitting on the sidewalk.

Do you have any solutions that don't involve violating people's rights?
Do you know what zoning laws are? Is that sidewalk zoned residential?

If the government doesn't want to do it's job, then the people have to do it. We don't give up our police function rights, what we do is lend them to the police themselves, and if they won't do the job, we will.

Going from hoses to guns won't be the people's fault, it will be the government's.
No, it will be the vigilante's fault if violence is ever used. Do crime, do the consequences. This 'da govt made me do it' argument is complete nonsense.

If America is headed for vigilante justice, there's nothing I can do but warn of it's pitfalls. However, I don't believe that the crazies on this board are totally representative of the country yet.
Well ,let 'em camp in YOUR yard.
