sacrificing Officer Chauvin

When does "doing his job" become "abuse of force"?
When he uses force on a suspect not resisting, unlike what he did in reality with a suspect resisting.

I wonder if these cops realize how they literally dodged the bullet by getting this shitstain to jail in one piece?

Cops gave a collective sigh of relief when Chauvin was convicted.
Not someone they wanted representing them

besides, passing funny money was dead dudes rights...wasnt he in the hood

So again, the cops don't just appear out of nowhere, someone called 911 to complain about the Monopoly money

Doesn’t justify killing someone

As did business owners as their stores would not be looted by thugs and criminals.

Throwing one cop to the bloodthirsty savages in order to appease them threatens all policemen.

I agree but Chauvin is an asshole, regardless of the Floyd incident.

he didn't abuse anyone------huge drugged up criminal had to be put on the ground for everyone's safety....he couldn't leave him able to roll around getting hit by traffic causing an accident.

Intelligent people should realize that floyd dying is a good thing for society as he won't be attacking anyone else...but yet here come the idiots making this criminal their hero victim even though he was neither. And you guys haven't figured out that this shit causes more crime and that crime is up something like 200%? Wow...

He was subdued and cuffed and on the ground flat.

Are you saying the only thing Chauvin could have done was keep a knee on his neck?

No other options...for almost ten minutes?

Why did he continue to do this after the man clearly passed out? Was an unconscious body going to roll around?

You should seriously think this through before your knee jerk defense.
and still resisting....high as hell on drugs, that make you think you are invincible....duh....go sign up to be a cop, or shut your stupid pie hole...

Please explain to us how he can resist when he's passed out.

Thank you.
not sure what part you don't understand..... go sign up to be a cop, or shut your stupid pie hole...

You don't seem to have answered the question. Is this an English comprehension problem or a brain problem?

Are you a cop?
are you an idiot?.....yes...try to understand the English language...not chinese

Cite your facts liar.
I did cite the facts idiot---go play your head games with someone else.

Officer Chauvin was doing his job arresting a criminal. Officer Chauvin was sacrificed to appease the BLM idiots. these blm idiots were going to go on a rampage if they did not get their way. the idiot nancy pelosi got on her knees again for the blm idiots , babbling inanities. just before the verdict was announced, in Ohio a young black girl attacking other young black women with a knife was shot and killed by police responding to the 911 calls pleading for their help. the blm idiots are up in arms again. again saying when is it going to end, police killing black folks.. these idiots ignore everything else. they only see a black person been killed by police. there are a lot of black people doing well in the USA. many get educated and thru hard work have achieved success in all sectors of US society. They are law abiding citizens. what ever our national history has been no one can deny that things have gotten better for everyone. We as a country are not perfect but thru out the world many people dream about immigrating to the USA, of becoming a US citizen.
I disagree... Arresting him was his job. But it was his lack of self-control and his poor judgment cost the man his life. He went WAY TOO FAR.

He murdered George Floyd...the video is damning.
Drugs killed him

He should have gotten a manslaughter charge, not straight up murder. That would say he intentionally was trying to kill him knowing full well what he was doing.

If Floyd had seen this he would be alive today.

Or maybe he would be alive if he wasn't a career criminal, had lethal doses of fentanal, not had heart issues, tested positive for covid, didn't have arteral blockage, didn't test positive for meth, wasn't resisting arrest, wasn't doing shit to draw the attention of the police and so on.

The only thing chauvin is guilty of is getting overwhelmed in a drawn out situation while having to deal with a crowd. And no Floyd wasn't even a claustrophobic, he was doing quite well in the car when the cops showed up.

He needed to check up on him a didnt. It was a bad situation that went south. I can see a manslaughter charge.

But let's face, he was NEVER going to get anything but full charges because there was no way in hell he would get an unbiased jury. Everyone in the country knew what happened and had spent a year hearing everyone scream murder, racism, fuck the cops, all day and all night.

He never had a chance of getting a fair and impartial jury. And if he did manage a juror that was they would probably had been afraid of being torn apart by the mob like so many others the previous year.

The truth is both simple and complex. But the truth is that Chauvin was sacrificed. But not in the way you who object to the verdict think.

The truth is that the arrest was both routine and against policy.

The arrest was routine. Police routinely lie. They are trained how to phrase things in reports. They are trained how to appear calm and professional on the stand giving testimony. And that testimony sounds so good when they deliver it in their professionally detached voice.

But it is part of the routine lie. And when the routine becomes public in an incident like the death of George Floyd the cops have a choice. They can stand behind their brother and admit they have all been doing things like that. Things they know they are not supposed to do. Or they can sacrifice the one who was caught to patch the curtain the Great and Powerful Oz is hiding behind.

One of my favorite examples of the routine. Five cops from two different departments all wrote the same report on a traffic stop and arrest. Five cops. From two different departments. How could that be possible? They were exposed by their own dash cam footage.

So how does it happen? Well it starts by believing the system isn’t fair. The cops make an arrest. They spend hours booking the guy in and writing a report. The charges are reduced and a plea bargain means the baddie spends no time in jail. Or worse they find drugs and tell the truth to see the case evaporate. The evidence is suppressed because of an illegal search.

It just isn’t fair. And so the cop starts out lying a little. Just enough to get the evidence into court to make the bad guy pay. Then they search a car and find nothing. But they know this is a bad guy. He needs to go to jail. So they drop a little into the guys car. Hey they would have gotten him but he just didn’t have any this time. But we know.

Then there is “Tuning the guy up”. He ran from police. Resisted arrest. He deserves a beating. So they tune him up a little. To teach him not to do that again.

And all of this is routine. It happens every day. In small conservative towns and big liberal cities. On highways and byways.

But when one gets caught he is exposed. The curtain slips. And the cops have a choice. Admit the truth or throw the unlucky bastard to the wolves.

Chauvin had 18 complaints. If the department was serious about upholding policies and standards they would have intervened long before Floyd was on the ground. They would have retrained Chauvin and explained to him the error of his ways. They would have told him to knock it off. Instead they brushed it all aside. Because a lot of other cops were doing it too.

Then Floyd. And lots of video. And a death. Public outrage. And the questions start. Questions the police have no intention of admitting the truth of. So Chauvin is thrown to the wolves. Sacrificed to keep the secret. In the spy game he would be disavowed. Burned. Whatever you want to call it.

He was sacrificed. Not to placate the mob. Not because of a political philosophy. But to protect the other cops who were doing much the same thing.

Imagine it like a freeway where everyone is speeding. You get pulled over and given a ticket. Everyone else was doing the same thing. But you got tagged. Yes you were speeding but everyone does it too isn’t a defense is it?

The sacrifice was to protect other cops. Not to placate BLM or anyone else.

Did it ever enter your pygmatised brain that he WAS guilty of murder because that is what happened. He held his neck until he died after pleading for air.
What part of that don't you indrtstand
