It is undeniable that A.I. will replace tens of thousands of workers, maybe millions, in the future. We have created 'artificial' employment for millions in the past by allowing simply solved problems to get out of hand (mainly healthcare and law enforcement) then creating jobs that should be unnecessary to deal with them. Therein lies the dilemma. Do we create more unnecessary jobs to absorb the job losses due to A.I.?

We will be shit outta luck when the wealthy industrialist and tech giants build their robot armies and have AI direct them. The civil war that ensues will kill millions of Americans, all over money.

That definitely wouldn't be my preference on how it should be handled. I'd much rather see the country go on a 32-hour work week. Along with spreading employment opportunities to counteract AI it would help charitable organization recruit people to donate their time, allow parents more time with their kids, be beneficial to those that wish to pursue hobbies, further education, etc.

I told my kids that instead of bitching and moaning about AI and Robotics, start working on how to repair those entities. Until robots can fix themselves, there will be a need for such brilliant people. See a need, fill a need.

It's hard for my simple mind to comprehend how the AI generation with much fewer jobs is going to work out. I can't see more new jobs that come close to the number of jobs lost. Unnecessary make-work jobs aint going to cut it and neither is a basic income for everybody, where's the money going to come from?

Ten years is my estimated time of depopulation of the human race. The pandemic was just a precursor move.
