The last three elections have offered up four buffoons, Clinton Trump, Biden and Harris and people don’t know why they lost elections.

No, the offered up ONE Buffoon, and three people who were less than inspiring but would have made decent presidents. Biden was a decent president despite his health issues.

But 50 years of "I hate government and politics" thinking have given you Trump, and you guys think it's acceptable.

Here's the thing. Usually when a party shit the bed, you had enough sensible people in the middle who would put the other guy over the top, even if they were less than enthused about him. This is what happened with Goldwater in 64 and McGovern in 72.

It's not really the Bleach Drinkers who are the problem, it's the Republicans who KNOW Trump is a buffoon, but voted for him anyway.

Ranked choice voting, multi-representative districts, and - mostly - voters just growing up a little. And I think that can happen. It always seems like it can't get any worse, but - it always does.

Rank-choice voting has been rejected in almost every district it has been tried in, even with it's deep-pocket money advocates outspending the other side by 10 or 20 to 1. It barely survived in Alaska.

As far as "multi-Representative Districts", we tried that in IL up until 1982. What we ended up getting were placeholders pretending to be Democrats or Republicans in districts that wouldn't elect the opposite party.

I actually got my start working for one of these placeholders in Politics. He was done after 1982.

The problem with your fantasy about multi-party systems, one has to look no further than Germany as to why that's a terrible idea. They just had an election, but the Sensible Conservatives have the choice of either doing a coalition with the Neo-Nazis of the AfD (morally unacceptable) or a coalition with the SPD that they just defeated (unworkable and won't last long.)

Biden will be remembered as a fairly decent president. Probably better than Trump or Bush or Carter will be remembered.

The two-party system has worked fine for 165 years. Trump is an anomaly, but it has less to do with the two-party system and more with a culture that can't tell the difference between celebrity and merit.

How can Biden be called a fairly decent president? The nation suffered daily thanks to Biden. I was glad quit.
