I know many of you will say deporting all illegals but that really is a stupid answer. Even if it did help the economy, it would skyrocket the deficit and would take decades to achieve. It isn't at all practical.

Let's put that aside. What other SPECIFIC policy ideas from this clown car of republican candidates will stimulate economic growth?

What will create millions of jobs?

What will boost wages?

What will keep all of the income gains from going to the top 1% and save the middle class?

I reject the premise of the question. I don't want a bunch of lawyer politicians trying to be central planners of the economy. They don't understand it, so how can they fix it? Accept the fact that there will be ups and downs in any economy. You want to help, don't help! And quit promising to help. Try leaving small, medium and large businesses alone, don't saddle them with your regulations, don't tell them what they need to pay their employees, let the damn thing run on its own.

For those of you who buy any of this crap that the government can improve a bad economy by instituting another government program.......well that's what democrats are for. Conservatives are better than that. Unfortunately the RNC is running conservative ideas into the wall. They gotta go!

riiiight....except more than 50% of seniors lived below the poverty line before government involved itself. laissez faire capitalism was a total failure and created a dickensian nightmare. That is what led to the creation of wage and hour laws, etc.

of course government involves itself in economic policy.

this is what happens when you've listened to gubmint haters for three decades and allow yourself to be manipulated to vote against your own interest

I believe the presidency has very limited effect on the economy. Lowering taxes will cycle a bit more middle class money through the economy. Perhaps we'll get enough to buy a major appliance. Other than that, we have Cruz' plan to eliminate Obamacare while Trump and Kasich talk about Obamacare Lite but aren't too specific. But then with healthcare it is sure hard to trust any facts tossed about and so I'm not counting on any savings there. Any way this election turns out I thinking things will be pretty much business as usual.

The poverty level? Really. The poverty level considers income. It is not a realistic indicator of economic lifestyle or wellbeing. In the forties a much higher percentage of people lived and worked on farms. Very low income, but many were landowners. Today when somebody retires they could have a million dollar net worth if they were to liquidate their assets, but since they have little or no income they show up in the poverty stats. It's a game the government plays to make you believe that all those taxes and that 20 trillion dollar deficit is feeding somebody's grandma. It's a scam already.

The massive gap in income inequality will only get wider and the economy will further destabilize due to a lack of a robust middle class consumer spending which is vital to the economy.

To the Op.............You first................

People like you continually demand our policies while giving nothing in return...................

Time for you to put up or shut up.................

Bring back $2T overseas corporate dollars, re-invest in USA.
End Inversion......................Only 2 countries on earth have higher corporate tax rates.......and some wonder why the money is leaving along with jobs.............That is one of his policy statements.

Investing in infrastructure will create millions of jobs.

Raising the minimum wage to a reasonable level will lift millions out of poverty. Historically the negative effect of inflation has been minimal. In fact, 600 economists signed a letter to congress asking for the federal minimum wage to be lifted to 10.10 per hour which would have boosted the wages of 18 million people. Over time the boost would have increased consumer spending.

Extending unemployment benefits to those who need it. This will boost consumer spending thus creating economic growth.

Expanding the earned income tax credit for the poor.

Shifting the tax burden away from the middle class and to the top earners and corporations.

Now your turn. You can dispute these ideas all you want, at least democrats have actual ideas. Republicans don't.

The official tax rate means dick. 2/3 of corporations do not pay federal taxes because of the loopholes and havens they take advantage of.

There have been other times when the wealth inequality was extreme. It usually occurs at the back end of economic expansion. The first couple of decades of the last century JP Morgan, Rockefeller, Vanderbilt, Carnegie, Ford et al. Were all ridiculously wealthy. Wealth inequality does not mean that some people are suffering more because there are wealthy people.

A person living in poverty in the US today, has a much higher standard of living than the average middle class person of 1940. Poverty level does not necessarily indicate your standard of living. Poverty level is a political tool.

What policies? Quit pretending you have some in mind.

Do you actually still believe in the lie that is trickle down econmics? It's been proven over and over to be bullshit. Bush's insane tax cuts for the wealthy didn't do jack shit. The Great Recession happened anyway and the total job creation under Bush was pathetic.

Here are some specific ideas:

Permanently fix M0 (the monetary base) at its current level.

Phase out all federal business regulations.

Phase out all federal transfer payments.

Reduce the military to a defense force.

Eliminate all federal crimes other than those described in Art I, section 8.

Phase out the income tax, both personal and corporate.

Logical Fallacy of Begging the Question.

Deporting Illegals is NOT a stupid answer.

Closing your mind to an answer IN YOUR OP, is stupid.
