This is what Europe must do to call Putin’s bluff on Ukraine​

The first move is immediate Nato membership for Ukraine, for Georgia and for Bosnia-Herzegovina.

The idea would probably be vetoed immediately by the US, along with Hungary and Slovakia, which are run by pro-Putin autocrats.

But a non-Nato, Nato-style alliance of the West would be a powerful entity that would give Putin pause for thought if it acted together and with the sort of confidence the Kremlin has shown on the world stage.

Girkin himself explained that when his squad was taking over Donbass cities they were planning for Russia to come in and take over like they took over Crimea. But Kremlin was hesitant to escalate further, so separatists got stuck in no-man's-land, at least untill Putin decided to go all in.

But even if there was any truth to what you've just said, what you are describing is still CRIMINAL SEPERATISM.

No country would just let another part of it succeed unlawfuly.

America certianly didn't let the slavery loving South succeed and in Russian Federation's case there was a huge bloodbath when Chechens wanted to independence, and unlike made up LNR/DNR, Chechens are ethnicly distict people and therefore had a claim to their own country under UN conventions.

The Russians you talk about ARE NOT CRIMEANS. They are Russian Federation military and paramilitary units that blocked Ukranian army, captured Crimean parlament and put Russian flags on it.

And the thing for any not-insane government to do is call in the army, kill off whoever doesn't put down the weapons, retake control and prosecute whoever had any hand in this, be they white, hispanic, Mexican or American or Chinese.

Ethnicity is not what it's about, IT'S THE CRIMINAL SEPARATISM that is the root cause.

Or, to recall the real history - it is about English-speaking colonists in Texas, backed by the USA, American separatists in Thirteen Colonies, backed by Spain, France and Russia, Albanian separatists in Kosovo (which is a part of Serbia) and Chinese separatists in the Republic of China (backed by the USA) and many, many others.
Keeping peace and order in a state is a difficult thing, and when a government fails, people and territories often leave it.
