The similarities between the Russia/Ukraine and Israel/Gaza conflicts should not be overlooked. The former involves about 20 times the populations of the latter, and both invading countries have about 3.5 times the population of the invaded countries.*
Both larger countries are motivated to eliminate what they see as an existential threat to themselves: NATO would like to dismember Russia, and Hamas would like to destroy Israel.
Both smaller countries are being militarily aided/financed by other large countries: Ukraine by the US, and Gaza/Hamas by Iran. Tens of thousand of people are being killed on all sides. and the US has supplied much of the weaponry being used to do it.
The biggest difference between the two conflicts is that Russia was responding to an impending threat, whereas Israel is responding to an actual attack.
*Gaza is referred to as a "country" for comparative purposes only (not for any legal/political ramifications).
