The thing is, a lot of people have no real idea how "Hawkish" much of Europe is when it comes to Russia. Especially the nations that had once been forced to be puppets of the Soviet Union.

If Russia was stupid enough to attack Poland and Romania, I doubt there would be much stopping them from declaring war on Russia, and most of NATO going along with it.

Something that should worry anybody in Russia, as they are surrounded by a lot more potentially hostile nations than they were three years ago. Watching nations like Sweden and Finland get off the fence and actually joining NATO (and at the same time a lot of nations have actually left Russia's own CSTO is rather telling. Especially as every nation that the modern Russia has attacked in the last three decades were supposed to be allies of Russia.

Their hostility doesn't matter. Their actual capability do. At least now American B-52 can't fly in Ukrainian skies and a lot of Ukrainian (and other European) nazies are dead.

NATO is attacking Russia. And at this point your facilitation definitely became a participation. I do understand which way "west" is. There were a lot of western invasions in Russia, and your current aggression is not really different from others in the past. And the solution of the western problem will, likely, be the same - your cities burned, your soldiers killed, your land became Russian.


The pleasure is all mine. But making the situation a bit clearer and transparent for both sides benefit not only Russia but, I believe, the USA, too. If NATO was attacking Russia instead of offering Ukraine some fairly minimal support, You'd see the 82'nd Airborne and 101st Airmobile dropping into Sevastopol while the British 7th Armored Division, the US 1st Armored and 1st Cavalry divisions supported by the US 1st, 3rd, 4th and 7th Mechanized Infantry Divisions accompanied by about thirty French armored and armored infantry regiments crossing from Ukraine and the Polish 1st Legions Infantry division, the Polish 11th Armored Cavalry Division, the Polish 12th Mechanized Division, the Polish 16th Mechanized Division and the Polish 18th Mechanized Division supported by the US 10th Mountain Division coming out of Poland and various odds and sods from Norway, Sweden, Finland, Denmark and the Baltics coming out of Sweden and Finland plus a bunch of odds and sods coming out of the Balkans. You'd be fighting a FOUR FRONT WAR against opponents with superior numbers, superior equipment and a coherent strategy. Not to mention the US Pacific Fleet attacking Vladivostok and landing US Marines there as occupiers.
Russia would fold like a wet Kleenex against that kind of force.

B-52's are missile trucks now. Each one can carry between 12 and twenty cruise missiles and launch them from far outside Russian fighter range and we have 58 in active service. We have 20 B-2 Spirits that are invisible to Russian air defense systems in service while capable of carrying 16 B-83 Hydrogen bombs, each with a 1.2 MEGATON yield. That's at least 20 Russian strategic targets destroyed without warning if desired. You don't have a single operational stealth bomber or fighter. In a war, Moscow's ABM system would be destroyed before it could launch a single missile, and Moscow is the only Russian city defended by ABMs unless Russia cheated on the treaty it signed.

There is a Russian proverb: It is difficult to pick up your knocked out teeth from the floor when you arms and spine are broken.

You won't be able to send all those forces in Russia when most of your ports and aibases are already nuked.

Mostly because Black Sea is a pond that is totally controlled by the Russian land based anti-ship cruise missiles. But even if (very big if) they manage to land... Man, they won't last even one day without modern weapons and heavy equipment.
