Summary of the History of Russia: "А потом стало еще хуже."

Translation: "And then it got even worse."

Hey if you’re definition of war is bombing civilians, then Russia is great at war. Otherwise

1905 vs. Japan: defeat & revolution
1914-1918: defeat & revolution
1920 vs Poland: defeat
1939-40 vs Finland: defeat
1941-45: near catastrophe, but ultimate victory thanks to massive US & UK economic and strategic aid
1956 vs disarmed civilians in Hungary: victory
1968 vs disarmed civilians in Czechoslovakia: victory
1969 vs China: draw
1979-89 vs Afghanistan: defeat & revolution
1994-96 vs Chechens: defeat
1999-2009 vs Chechens: costly victory
2008 vs Georgia: victory.

And this one will too

WATCH THIS VIDEO : HOW POOTLER HAS ARMED HIS ARMY-HORDE , SOUNDS LIKE 19C. )))

Russia has all kind of "armies" at the front.

Regular army
"Elite" paratroops
Putin's personal guard
Wagner mercs
Old men pressed into service from Donbas
Home guard formations from all over Russia

There's no unified command over them. None of those groups is willing to stick their necks out for any of other groups. They all have their own agendas, and they tend to not even like each other.

And none of them wants to die for Putin.

Russia is suffering from serious structural problems.

1. There is no great patriotic reason for the troops to be fighting. I doubt most of the Russian troops have any idea of why they are there or even care. Meanwhile the Ukrainians are fighting against an invasion.

2. The Russian military is suffering from the consequences of massive corruption. That is causing significant problems in the logistics chain.

3. Many of the Russian assets are left over from the Cold War and do not perform well on the battlefield.

4. The Russians have piss poor leadership at the NCO and lower troop level.

5. Russian battlefield doctrine relies heavily on the concept of massive blunt attacks by armor instead of a combined arms doctrine. In the era of modern weapons that doesn't work very well.

6. NATO supplied weapons are taking a heavy toll on the Russian forces.

Nobody would have thought that six months into this war and the Russians would not have prevailed. This war is costly them dearly. Their military has proven to be ineffective and their assets are being depleted. In the future they will only be considered a major military power because of their nuclear weapons. Their conventional forces are a joke.

the moscow is not retreating. They are simply demonstrating that their troops are superior at running long distance than Ukrainian troops.
🏃‍♂

I just have to say that this would seem to indicate that moscow does not have air superiority. There’s no realistic way an offensive like this could have taken place if they did.

I read an article a couple of months ago about the poor modern Russian weapons acquisition.

In an average year the US will upgrade/replace about 200 major weapon assets (planes/ships/tanks/artillery etc). In years when new systems are coming on line it could be 500-600.

The Russians typically about 10-20. The most they have done in one year since the fall of Soviets was 60 in I think it was 2012 if I remember the report correctly.

Most NATO countries modernize proportionately like the US. The Russians are way behind. They may develop new weapons but they sure as hell don't produce them in any significant numbers. They can't. The State of Texas has a larger GDP than the entire country of Russia.

That is why they are fighting this Ukraine war with so many left over poorly maintained Cold War assets.

The entire northern flank is gone for the horde.

That's just dumb. Defeating Russia in Kharkiv doesn't "hasten Ukraine's ultimate defeat". It prevents Russia from taking Donetsk Oblast.

It's a rout, and the UA is capturing huge numbers of Russian weapons, and encircling the Russians everywhere.

Bakhmut is officially a wasted effort now, and there are even reports today of fighting at the Lysychansk refinery, which would mean the UA is advancing there too, after crossing the S-D and retaking Lyman.
