Reading the accounts in the media of the assassination of the Russian ambassador to Turkey, the media is taking two diametrically opposed positions at the same time:
1) While it is said the gunman was retaliating for war crimes committed by Russia in Aleppo, the media refuses to accept responsibility for creating the environment that contributed to this murder. They maintain that Russia is in fact guilty of atrocities and the genocide of the people of Aleppo.
2) The motive of the gunman could have been to derail the alliance that had been struck which brokered the current cease fire.
