Roosevelt was a big fan of Hitler's before the war

You weren't alive when George Washington became the first US President but we have history books and people who were alive before FDR and they said life sucked.
Yes, and we have a lot of prog propaganda about it. Life was worse then than it is now. How could it possible been the same or better considering all the technical and medical advancements that have occured since? Only a moron uses the argument that life was harder in those days to prove that some more recent president did a better job.

Not at all relevent.
FDR imposed laws that stopped all the Robber Baron bullshit.

I would sometimes wonder if Teddy Roosevelt had lived he would have been elected President in 1920 and how different things would have been in that decade.
The question is the impression that TR would give.
No one except those in the top 1% want to hear that you have to be tough and willing to starve.

Most progs don't know this, but before he invaded Czechoslovakia Roosevelt was a great admirer of Hitler. He was implementing all the schemes that Roosevelt wanted to impose on this country.

Roosevelt’s Prewar Attitude Toward Hitler
From the time FDR first took office in 1933 until America entered World War II in December 1941, the Roosevelt administration’s policy was to pursue cordial, sometimes even friendly relations with the Nazi regime.
Many Americans boycotted products from Nazi Germany. But the Roosevelt administration helped Nazi Germany evade the boycott in the 1930s by permitting goods from Germany to bear labels that misled consumers as to their country of origin. The administration halted this disgraceful practice only when threatened with a lawsuit by boycott activists.
FDR also sent Secretary of Commerce Daniel Roper to address a pro-Nazi rally in New York City in 1933. At that rally, Nazi Germany’s ambassador to the United States was the keynote speaker and the podium and hall were decorated with swastika flags. In 1937, the administration sent one of its senior diplomats to represent the United States at the annual Nazi Party rally in Nuremberg.
In some instances, the Roosevelt administration actually apologized for U.S. citizens’ anti-Nazi sentiment. In 1935, the administration publicly apologized to Adolf Hitler after a New York City judge released protesters who tore a swastika flag off a visiting German ship. Then, in 1937, when New York mayor Fiorello La Guardia called Hitler a “brown-shirted fanatic who is threatening the peace of the world,” Roosevelt’s secretary of state expressed the US government’s “regret” over “utterances calculated to be offensive to a foreign government.”
it's called typical peacetime diplomacy, brainwashed functional moron. Meanwhile the GOP wrecked the League of Nations, the Versailles treaty, the world economy with the Great Depression, their isolationism allowed the rise of militarists in Germany and Japan and gave them time until we were finally attacked. Always a catastrophe except possibly for under Eisenhower, an independent.

What "robber baron bullshit?"

BTW, the age of the so-called robber barons was over 40 years prior to the election of FDR.
Yes it was teddy Roosevelt, the last good republican. Of course the age of the so-called robber barons happens every time the GOP has power, including the last 40 years.....

Bullshit. Roosevelt genuinely admired both Mussolini and Hitler. The Federal Reserve caused the panic of 1929. Isolationism didn't bring any dictators to power.

All you have is lame excuses for the prewar fascism of Democrats.

Roosevelt was a goose stepper. So called "robber barons" are a myth. They didn't rob anyone. They made this country wealthy.

The Republicans always deregulate some part of the economy and have a corrupt bubble and bust. In the 20s the Republicans it was Wall Street. When you buy on margin and only need 10% of the money it's fantastic until there's a problem. Great job.! So the Republicans you know wrecked the Versailles treaty and the League of Nations and the world economy and were isolationists so Hitler and the Japanese could go nuts with no problem period great job. Now they start wars just so they can make money on defense. Just lovely. And start the SNL bubble and the real estate bubble and the trump bubble. As always the GOP base has no clue at all.

So did TR, and every Democrat president because the Republicans are the robber barons.... And their dupes of course.... The old silent majority is now the brainwashed loudmouth majority OMG.

FDR was virulent anti-Nazi and propped up the UK

Only after WWII started.

Like a great many Socialists, FDR and most of the country loved Germany and Hitler, for the progress they had made since the end of WWI.

That did not start to change until 1938 after Kristallnacht.

But you can not combine the entire time Hitler was in power, and then assume it was all the same after they stepped up the persecution of the Jews and invaded Poland.

You're right, your knowledge is mainly about the Pacific war...lol. The GOP led the isolationism that let the Germans and the Japanese run wild for 10 years. The GOP wrecked Versailles the League of Nations and the world economy with another corrupt bubble and bust. Always a catastrophe. at least so far you haven't called socialists communists. . . FDR and the Democrats like the Weimar Republic and democracy of course. Thanks for everything, GOP. Tell me exactly how I am wrong not just baloney.... .
