Rush didn't get the team though, did he?
Last word.
Going out on a limb, but what the heck.
I see most of asian descent as looking alike. Similar cheekbones, most have the same hair color, most have the same straight thin hair, most have a similar tone of skin color, most are 6' tall or shorter.
If Harry reid accidentally referred to Jane Kim as Sally Chang, and when he was corrected he responded with the truth that "they all look very similar to me"....would you give the guy a pass?
I mean. Afterall. He simply said what was true.
I thought political correctness addresses that very issue. NOT saying what is true. Being sensitive to other people. Not Generalizing many of a group based on the actions of a few.
Why is political correctness followed to the letter of the law as it pertains to profiling for terrorists, but cast to the wind as it pertains to what a politician says.
You folks on the left. I fear you are truly blinded by what is happening around you. And you are defending it and allwoing it to become an epidemic with everything that goes on around us.
I suggest you think about it.
Last word.

All Asians do not look alike either, not even close, OMG.... where have you BEEN?????

There we have two Chinese, one Japanese, one Korean, one Cambodian, one Indian, and a Filipino, all of whom are ASIAN, and none looks like any other!
Oh, and they are in no particular order either!
If they look alike to you, you should practice really looking at people.......
Paul Sorvino and Sylvester Stallone don't look alike either, even though both are Italian!
Last word.

Of course they don't, but they do to many people not raised in that group. Likewise there are Asians who have a difficult time telling white people's faces apart. Within a culture you learn to recognize different sets of traits from early childhood - to distinquish one person from another.
NEGRO
There--I even typed it.
What?? You are going to call the NAACP on me to? OH NO--Do not sic Jesse Jackson on me!! He already has a pair of presidential balls in his locker, he does not need mine!!![]()
I can see the talking points email went out.
When the use of the word Negro failed to insult blacks, much to the dismay of Republicans, they decided to be offended themselves.

For a self described "searcher of accuracy" your are patently dishonest in your tactics.
No, what I am doing is, ONCE AGAIN, pointing out the stereotype and being sarcastic as you are so repetitively obtuse in your determination to pronounce that you are really boring the **** out of me!
How would you know what is "offensive to African-Americans?" Did all the African-Americans elect you their spokesperson? Many? Some? A few?
Are ALL African-Americans equally offended by exactly the same things?
Who, to get right down to it, who exactly is an African-American? What exactly constitutes African-American-ness? Suppose someone is of mixed ethnic heritage, what are the percentages? I mean exactly how many countable ancestors does one need?
I suggest you go read my posts in this thread so you are ACCURATE in your assesement of what i'm claiming.
Seriously you need to change that "Searcher for accuracy" thing now.
EDIT: BTW I'm personally offended by reid's comments.
Time for me to leave this debate.
But in a world where it is OK to be offended by someone who fly's ther flag and offended by the sight of a Christman Tree, I am confused as to why some feel I have no right to be offended by a political leader implying that me and my fellow citizens usew the darkenss of ones skin to make life affecting decisions.
Here's an idea. Why don't you quit being a disingenuous fucktard?
Like it or not, it's pretty well understood that there are a lot of things that contribute to the electability of a candidate including, height, weight, looks, gender, race, etc. To pretend to be offended by somebody commenting on this is decided fucktardery.
Welcome to USMB, *****!
Interesting. I somehow doubt this will smooth the ruffled feathers of Jarhead and Pilgrim.Reid said: "I deeply regret using such a poor choice of words. I sincerely apologize for offending any and all Americans, especially African-Americans for my improper comments," Reid said in a statement released after the excerpts were first reported on the Web site of The Atlantic.
That sounds like an apology directed at the American voter as well.
But here's the other thing. Were Reid's comments made privately or publicly? Outrage over something said privately - something that is also rather true strikes me as faux.

You are wrong manifold, I am genuinely offended by Reid's callous comments about me and the rest of voting america

I wish he hadn't apologized. I don't think he said anything that needed an apology and these things just serve to make people look overly sensitive.
