Robert Redford dies at 89

You might like this movie.

I did like it. BUT, I wouldn't want to be stuck out at sea like that. I think I love Jeremiah Johnson so much because I'd like to go do what he did. Live off grid.

I'd like to sail a boat like that too but not break down. Scary shit!

Jeremia Johnson was one of my favorites.
Why would another poster say he hated it? Blows my mind. Maybe he just said that because I said it's my favorite Robert Redford movie.

And it truly is. I can watch it over, and over and over again. He was so lucky to score that Indian woman. And so sad when you know what happened. I don't want to spoil it for anyone who hasn't seen it.

I love it when he found that better gun on that dead mountain man.

I love the fact he ate the livers of the indians he killed. Some think it was to scare the shit out of any other indian who would dare try to attack him. Some say he ate the liver because it was winter and the liver is the most nutritious part of the body. Those livers actually helped him survive the winter.

I would love to go on Alone. I don't think I would win it but I'd love to try.

I’ll forever remember him as Roy Hobbs.
I can't believe Ray Liotta was Shoeless Joe Jackson in Field of Dreams. If you asked me I would have said Robert Redford played that role. LOL.

I'm trying to think of some movies he was in where I loved either his character or the movie itself. I have to look on IMDb

A River Runs Through It
Out of Africa
The Natural
OH SHIT! Jeremiah Johnson is for sure my favorite movie of his. I can watch it over and over again.

The Sting
The Great Gatsby (the Blake Edwards version)

I enjoy the series “Dark Winds.” He was one of the producers. He had excellent taste, for the most part, in choosing his acting roles and his productions.

Redford was offered the lead in 'The Verdict'. He accepted, but then he hemmed and hawed for months, getting script changes. The producers had enough, they fired him, and Paul Newman got the lead role.

R.I.P. Robert Redford

As good as Butch Cassidy was I liked The Sting better. Our daughter participated in Sundance for what ended up being a PBS release and got to meet him
It's a shame Redford and Newman didn't pair up more often,

The Sting
The Great Gatsby (the Blake Edwards version)
I saw the Sting but I was young. I don't remember loving it. I'm not saying I don't like Robert Redford. I do. I just wouldn't say The Sting sticks in me like say, Scarface or Goodfellas. Similarly, the Untouchables wasn't as great as they say. Cosner, Connery, DeNiro and Andy Garcia. It was good don't get me wrong.
