Robert Redford dies at 89

The thing I liked about Redford, as well as Pitt - they didn't/don't let their egos take roles of men obviously decades younger than them
Unlike Tom Cruise, in his mid 50s, and even now over 60 trying to play roles of a 30 year old.
Tragically, Cruise is in better physical shape than many 30year olds.

That is a good film. Although he did not look like a teenager when he struck out "The Whammer" in the beginning.
Glenn Close as the love interest was NOT believable. Maybe as a catcher's mitt....

You know who grossed me out as the baseball team groupy? Susan Sarandon

Bull Durham 1988

I was 17 years old. She was 42 at the time. So she was a little too old to be playing that role if you ask me. Maybe today she wouldn't seem so old but as a senior I was asking myself why would a rookie hotshot pitcher care about a 42 year old woman?

Sarandon was more about attitude than looks
Now that I'm older, there is definitely something sexy about her. But those bug eyes. That hair.

This reminds me of Angela Lansbury. When I was a kid I was like "why did they cast this old lady in this role?" not realizing she had a long career before

My favorite with him was The Natural.
My favorite was Spy Game. Had Brad Pitt in it.

Great ending !!!!

As for Redford....great actor.

R.I.P. You were fantastic in so many ways.

now if he could only learn to act.
Well, the last I saw him was in "The Edge of Tomorrow". What was there about his bad acting? Was there any?
As for Robert Redford, I remember him most for Three Days of the Condor. Good guy, RIP.

This thread is about Robert Redford, not your sexual frustrations as a youth.
