That was chronological, definitely not in order. I would put Julia and Sarah at the top.

Carol Burnett Show wasn't a sitcom.
Mary Tyler Moore was the straight man in her show.
Friends didn't have a really funny woman.
Shelly Long was another straight man.
Tina Fey was another straight man.
Roseanne just did her stand-up act. The sister was funnier.

You could make a case for Rhea Pearlman (Cheers), Lawanda Page (Sanford and Son), Marla Gibbs (The Jeffersons), but like Roseanne they basically just spouted wise-ass remarks, which were funny, but that doesn't make the actress funny. Bea Arthur may belong in this category, also.

To be shallow for a moment, she was one of many beautiful women who lost the battle of the bulge, spectacularly. And she was beautiful.

Fatness contributes to ill health generally. Kirstie Alley had serious changes in her weight with rapid gains and losses of 100 pounds or more several times. I always liked her.
