Rick Santorum Wants Your Sex Life to Be 'Special'

Yep...and Obama was wrong on that as well.

yes he was.....legally....

Santorum has done nothing wrong legally....

My God you are obtuse. No one ever said Santorum has done anything illegal. However when he says that contraception is "dangerous" and indicates that people should not use contraception, and that it's an "important policy issue" then he is suggesting that his religious beliefs (which, let's not bullshit each other, is what his point of view is based upon) should set policy. That is unconstitutional.

no it's not...free speech and all...

BO forcing people to buy contraceptives IS however....

So you two want the government telling you how to get laid, eh?

So much for "less government".

And um, let's see. No contraception. Conservatives are already complaining about welfare babies. What would be the consequences of Rick's way?
I guess we could go with Abstinence Only! After all, a nice Christian family and that kind of prevention worked so well for Bristol Palin!

...another young casualty of our leftie-induced "free sex" instant gratification society....

Really? THAT'S your counterpoint? Wow, I knew ConservaRepubs could be WEAK but that's just pitiful.
So by "free-sex" instant gratification, you mean making love to your spouse, eh?

So you dodge the entire concept of government intervention, which is understandable based on how weak your reply is. Obviously you guys are so owned on this one, petty insults and dodging the subject is the best you have.
Got it.

Oh no, no, no....don't stick Republicans with this one. I'm a Republican and I am clearly of the opinion that Santorum is full of shit on this point. Judging by the reps I have received on this thread I would say most Republicans agree with me since all of those reps have come from Republicans except two.

well Obama certainly thinks "free" contraception foisted on either the Church or insurance companies is an "important policy issue"....

Yep...and Obama was wrong on that as well.

I mean has it taken you all day to figure this point out Eagle? The government has no right to tell the Catholic Church or any organization that they must provide contraception. Neither does the government have the right to tell anyone that they cannot provide contraception. It's none of the government's fucking business!

When did the government tell anyone they couldn't provide contraception?
:eusa_eh::confused:

whoosh.....things just fly over your head don't they.....?

Yet another dodge. Conservative right? Yeah I figured by the inability to directly address the topics or issues addressed. Like i said, weak.
You may now continue dodging, changing the subject, strawmen etc... You're so owned on this one, it's all you have.

Yeah...it is. Try the first fucking Amendment regarding freedom from state sponsored religion and laws reflective thereof. If Santorum is of the opinion that his religious beliefs should set government policy (which by his comments seems pretty clear) it's in violation of the first fucking thing the founding fathers guaranteed to the American people.

No, it's not.

See, this is symptomatic of the learning disability of leftards. The first amendment in no way dictates that your religious beliefs shouldn't be reflected in government policy. The first amendment dictates ONLY that the government cannot establish religion.

There's a difference. It's not even subtle. I wish the tiny pea brains of those who wish the government could dictate to us what and how to believe could wrap around it...

according to your logic then any person of conscience who promotes his ideas is in violation of the 1st......that covers alot of territory....

Very well.....then provide me with an argument as to why contraception should be prohibited that is NOT based in religion belief.

Nope. I never said he could not voice his opinion. I said his religious beliefs may not set government policy which is what Santorum is suggesting.

Who has proposed banning contraception?
Mississippi did, but they voted it down. Now Virgiinia has.

"One of the things I will talk about that no president has talked about before is I think the dangers of contraception in this country, the whole sexual libertine idea... It's not okay because it's a license to do things in the sexual realm that is counter to how things are supposed to be. They're supposed to be within marriage, for purposes that are, yes, conjugal... but also procreative.

That's the perfect way that a sexual union should happen. We take any part of that out, we diminish the act. And if you can take one part out that's not for purposes of procreation, that's not one of the reasons, then you diminish this very special bond between men and women, so why can't you take other parts of that out? And all of a sudden, it becomes deconstructed to the point where it's simply pleasure. And that's certainly a part of it--and it's an important part of it, don't get me wrong--but there's a lot of things we do for pleasure, and this is special, and it needs to be seen as special. Again, I know most presidents don't talk about those things, and maybe people don't want us to talk about those things, but I think it's important that you are who you are. I'm not running for preacher.

I'm not running for pastor, but these are important public policy issues.

One can only wonder what kind of "public policy" regarding sex would come out of a Santorum WH.

it would be a "pro-life", pro-family policy.....contrary to BO's "pro-death", anti-family policy....

It sounds more like a pro-judgmental and prudish whack job policy based on what he's talking about.

Cite please, and link, so I can see what exactly it is.

I suspect it isn't really "banning" contraception, but maybe it is.

And how does that figure into this discussion?

No, it's not.

Define contraception, and please tell me who is arguing that it should be banned? Quotes and links, please.
