Revamping The Voting System For President

Yes Skipper, there was a compromise
But it provided undue influence to small population areas
It was exploited by slave states for 87 years

I use it as an example of how high population areas will not exploit low population areas if we went to a popular vote for President.

The Senate would still introduce bills helping rural America

Why would Rhode Island or Delaware ever consider a union where they would be totally dominated by the much larger states?

California and New York have the #1 and #4 populations in the US, but are easily offset by Texas and Florida at #2 and #3. Number 5 Pennsylvania went Republican this time but #6 Illinois did not. It is fairly balanced in most elections with states switching from red to blue and back making the difference. The system works unless someone cheats and wins a state they should not have, AKA 2020.

Because they get 2 Senators in this Union, just like California, Texas, Florida and NY

Why should a voter in Wyoming get more influence in a presidential election than a Californian?

They have only one Congressman. That helps balance things out. Come on, dumbass! This is middle school level social studies material.

Come on Skipper, you are better than this

The House gives each voter an equal vote based on districts of about 600,000

The Senate gives each state an equal vote, regardless of population
