Cuss filters, yay or nay?

You really should be able to say whatever you want.

Too many to count, the offensive nasty vulgar things that have been said to me.

Well that's different because.... well it's different

Any "mod " trying to come at me better think twice. "OK"? Imbecile

Hmmm lol 😆 I have actually perused this site for many years on my desktop. Finally put it on my phone and it's a lot less cumbersome
I actually have it, on my phone and my Kindle fire, but avoid it like the plague on any hand held device, except to look and see what's going on. I find working it on mobile devices far more cumbersome.

Could be lots of reasons, being old and having to wear glasses, among them. But, just operating back and fourth among the screens without a mouse, and the difficulty of typing are chief, for me.

Gimme a desktop computor or laptop with a mouse, any day.

As for the cuss filtering (the subject of the thread) I really do not care. My speech patterns perfected over 20 years military (enlisted and officer) can definitely use some cleaning up.

I have found it to be a very good and informative website. It is good to know the thought processes going on out there and I often find news on here that beats everybody else.
Watering it down with a speech filter is a bad idea however.

Well, it is definitely a problem since it affected a link someone tried to post in their OP of a thread. And we know what happens if we don't post source in the OP. Here is the thread, are any Mods going to chime in here?

Unless it, the cussing, promotes a cause that agrees with XXXX, the cussing prohibition will be enforced. If not, there will be some cockamamie justification that allows it---AND you are NOT ALLOWED TO DISCUSS IT.

I pick up a lot from reading views and OPs with links, on here also, often prompting further internet searched for context, additional facts, but (be advised) also because some on here will post unadulterated BS. So remember it is a discussion message board, not necessarily the last word on facts.

Just leave it the way it is.

Nobody is injured by seeing *********** instead of profanity.
