HOWEVER all of those are aspiration ideas that have a more nuanced and palatable solutions: Biden’s environmental compromise with Bernie, funding for mental health and police education, public service loan forgiveness, bankruptcy loan revisions. They generally pin the accelerator down on ideas. Democrats are actually moderate. Not everyone like that.What makes them fringe?They are who you want to be the leaders of the dems to be so you have a bad guy to fight. They are the fringe.

I’d argue it’s our gun culture. A cop has to assume everyone has a gun. Not so in other cultures. I’m not saying there isnt more to it but that’s the main difference.
