Republicans are the true moochers in this country

See, rather than being mature and understanding the importance of paying taxes, many republicans/libertarians see it as an evil. They apparently prefer it if the government just paid for everything for them. Public schools? Infrastructure? Our military? Nope. They don't want to pay for any of it.

Don't you think that's kind of pathetic? Bush's tax cuts have contributed trillions to our national debt. The current republicans in power demand tax cuts that will only add half a trillion more to our national debt. Are they too stupid to see this connection? Sure over spending is a problem, but you would have to be a moron to think cutting taxes will fix the problem.
Another Billy Triple Fail fail thread.
Hey, Billy. Democrats are the lower 47% of wage earners and they pay no income taxes. Dems are the true moochers of this country.
Really? Link me to an income by political party chart which shows this...

Or wait....no. youre full of shit, eh boss?

Damn, you always step in it.

Can you show me a political breakdown of low income city voters, where they are shown to have predominantly voted Republican consistently in Presidential elections?
Before i do -

Do some research on this: how many of them (%) even vote, AT ALL.

Then ill do what you asked.

So when I zero in the focus on a particular group of low income metropolitan areas, who look to government to provide for housing and other government benefits, you want to start back tracking from your previous comment. Be careful where you step.

My previous comment was that the lower 47% arent all democrats.

No need to backtrack weirdo. Thats a hard fact.

Obviously you didn't think this through to the nth degree. We do NOT have a tax issue concerning adequate revenue to operate on. What we have is shameful runaway spending, waste, fraud, and corruption. The problem is improper use of the revenue we do have. Raising taxes with only provide more revenue to waste, give away, and use for stupid non-sense.

EXAMPLES OF WASTE, FRAUD, AND CORRUPTION concerning tax dollars:
(1) foreign aid (2) subsidies to big oil and rich farmers (3) building mosques on foreign soil (4) senseless deadly costly wars (5) exploring the far reaches of the universe (6) supplying weapons to drug lords and terrorists (7) stupid projects such as "The Fence" (8) ridiculous perks and benefits given to members of Congress (9) no-bid government contracts { Halliburton } (10) excessive military and defense spending (11) the care and support of illegal immigrants (12) Medicare and Medicaid fraud (13) pork spending (14) excessive government travel (15) bailouts (16) the ACA { Obamacare } (17) an excessive number of military bases on foreign soil (18) bribes paid to North Korea and Iran (19) lavish White House parties (20) lavish first family vacations (21) funding the overthrow of foreign governments (22) tax loopholes for the rich (23) government assistance programs fraud { food stamps, housing, health care, etc. } (24) corporations that pay no taxes (25) hiding money off-shore to avoid paying taxes.

Add all of the money from the above items and then see how much money could be added to the government's revenue pool. Then figure how much less the government would have to borrow each and every day, and the interest saved on that money. Chances are that we wouldn't need to raise taxes in order to fund and run the government.

Don't forget all that excessive unemployment benefits, it shouldn't take even 50 weeks to find a job. Unemployment is only to help transition your way towards your next job, or jobs if need be, it's not an income to be used until you finally come around to a career that meets your previous vested seniority pay rate.

Ad hominem....Rubbish.....
It isn't taxes to which we object.
It is the ridiculous, wasteful, fraudulent spending.
Let's take infrastructure.
Here in NC, we have one the highest motor fuel taxes in the country. 39.2 cents per gallon....Yet, the state claims there is not enough money for road projects. We say "where's the money".....The short answer is the money is STOLEN from the road fund and spent on things that have nothing to do with roads.
That's just one problem.
The overall issue is this. Mention fiscal responsibility and the pro tax and spend types go ballistic. They come back with all kinds of straw man arguments. Such as "you hate kids"...."You want to throw the poor into the street"......"You are selfish"....."we say the rich don't pay enough".....
At this point, my participation ends.
You people are irrational. Attempting to enter into a rational discussion with your side is fruitless.

Only 5% of our federal budget is science and infrastructure. The amount we give to these two has gone down since Clinton. Yet, they point fingers at it for causing the debt. You can't make this shit up.

My advice
Stop driving on our roads
Stop relying on our weather service
Start drinking your water out of a river
Maybe move to Haiti.

You'll get what you wish on the rest of America.
Shut up...

Profits Just Hit Another All-Time High, Wages Just Hit Another All-Time Low

1) Corporate profit margins just hit another all-time high. Companies are making more per dollar of sales than they ever have before. (And some people are still saying that companies are suffering from "too much regulation" and "too many taxes." Maybe little companies are, but big ones certainly aren't. What they're suffering from is a myopic obsession with short-term profits at the expense of long-term value creation).

screen%20shot%202013-04-11%20at%209.59.39%20am.png

2) Wages as a percent of the economy just hit another all-time low. Why are corporate profits so high? One reason is that companies are paying employees less than they ever have as a share of GDP. And that, in turn, is one reason the economy is so weak: Those "wages" are represent spending power for consumers. And consumer spending is "revenue" for other companies. So the profit obsession is actually starving the rest of the economy of revenue growth.

The national debt has increased $10 Trillion under Obama because he has been reducing spending?

You mean Obama took on paying the bills that came due after Bush was gone?
You think conducting wars is free?
You think prescription drug coverage is free?
You think tax cuts are free?
You think saving the country from total economic disaster is free?

Yea, I have seen your Obama Derangement Syndrome in action before. You think all the actions of George Bush had no cost and no bills to come due.

You must be one of them stupid Republicans. You think everything is "free". Right? Or is it that you think Obama spent all that money on Obama ideas?
Blaming Bush STILL?

So what's wrong with a basic minimum income for everyone? I'm not saying $37k maybe, but enough to keep body and soul together. With rising inequality of wealth distribution in this country getting worse, and a few multi billionaires having more money than millions at the bottom rung of the ladder, this is almost a necessity.

You can downsize to an apartment if you can't afford a home, relocate and get a job in another state, or work two jobs if you absolutely have to. We live in an technological society that places wants over needs, with the majority living above their means and accumulating credit card debt. There is no reason for an able bodied person to simply live off unemployment for 50 weeks.

It's not always possible to re-locate. It takes money. And, I know that you're not talking about those workers 50 and older. Also, did you consider businesses doing more with less workers? Have you taken into account automation, innovation, and technology replacing workers? Have you given any thought to off-shore job out-sourcing, the importing of labor, and the millions of illegals working in this country?

What about qualifications for employment? What about re-training for different types of jobs? Have you thought about the closed plants and factories, the closed malls, cities going bankrupt, and our dependency on cheap foreign imports that have taken many of our jobs? Just curious.

Productivity has surged, but income and wages have stagnated for most Americans. If the median household income had kept pace with the economy since 1970, it would now be nearly $92,000, not $50,000.

Anyone who would rather sit on an unemployment paycheck for over 50 weeks instead of working IS lazy, period!
Lol I don't see how you can just miss his point. He said 1 million people applied for 50,000 McDonald's jobs. Doesn't that tell you something about the market? We are talking about an economic emergency. It's not like anyone on unemployment has a comfortable living. They make 60% of their previous job. It fucking sucks.

I've know people with kids look to train in more profitable and demanding careers because the field they have chosen is no longer in high demand. Sometimes you need to downsize temporarily into some place you can afford. We can all take measures to educate ourselves, get scholarships or receive financial assistance towards additional schooling, supporting a family is never easy. I would rather leave an example of working hard to succeed than depend on an unemployment check as your default means to make a living. You may have to give up certain comforts you once enjoyed, like a large flat screen or an elaborate cable package in order to cut back to what you CAN afford. If you want to blame outsourcing, then tell me what proposals have the democrats provided that actually "encourages" businesses to want to build in the United States as opposed to overseas? I would like to hear some of those ideas.

I thought all these repetitive speeches since Obama took office, of "infrastructure" was the answer to everyone's hopes of getting a job? You mean pushing those same ideas over and over and over again hasn't produced the strong vibrant economy you were hoping for?
