We have already spend too much on anti poverty programs designed to help blacks. Those programs have not enabled poor blacks to become self supporting and law abiding tax payers. They have transformed millions of low income blacks into an unemployable underclass, the members of which supplements their welfare checks with the gains from criminal activities.

Ponder the following: The Fifth Amendment states that,

"No person shall be deprived of life, liberty, or property, without due process of law..."

For those lacking any legal education, the expression, "...due process of law..." refers to an adversarial proceeding where both sides can be heard, and where some sort of equitable result is decreed, subject to appeal in a court of law. An example of "due process of law" would be the taking of real estate by the Sovereign under "eminent domain." The Sovereign takes the property and typically makes a lowball offer to the owner, and the property owner is entitled a hearing to determine the just compensation, which determination is subject to appeal to a higher court. Remember, the Sovereign cannot deprive any person of property without due process and compensation.

American chattel slaves were property, owned by their Masters. (Honest Abe was said to be troubled by this legal issue when he issued the Emancipation). By enacting the Thirteenth Amendment, the Sovereign deprived the slave owners of their property without due process of law. The fact that it was done by a Constitutional Amendment solved the Fifth Amendment problem, but there was no due process, and no compensation when the Sovereign took away the property of the slave owners. Clearly reparations were due to the slave owners, which were never paid.

The British DID compensate their former slave owners with reparations, a fact that became quite embarrassing to former English Prime Minister David Cameron, much of whose family fortune traced back to those reparations.

As for compensating the slaves themselves, the myth of an offer of "40 Acres and a mule" to freed slaves remains abroad, but its origins are very questionable. It was never seriously made by anyone with the authority to make it a reality.

This many generations removed from the emancipation of American slaves, neither the slave owners nor the slaves can be identified adequately to make any rational offer - or to pay for it. As stated above, it might or should be adequate to note that American Blacks are more prosperous and enjoy more meaningful benefits than their counterparts in any other country in the world, especially in sub-Saharan Africa. Count your blessings - not your gripes.

Wrong. The government is paying federal dollars to Native American tribes each year. So le'ts drop the excuses. Because we can start after slavery and do the tally. Furthermore, studies have been done showing what blacks have lost in this century due to continuing racism So the slavery argument used as an excuse has no merit.

The tax revolt that began in 1978 with the passing of Proposition 13 in California, and which got Reagan elected and re elected may be seen as a draft riot against the War on Poverty. By the late 1970 most whites did not want their tax money to be spent helping blacks. We still don't. That is why there will never be racial reparations.

Reagan owed his popularity to hostility toward blacks. He began his 1980 campaign at a town in Mississippi where four civil rights activists had been murdered. The killers were acquited. Reagan's speech was about the need for states' rights. When Reagan talked about the Welfare Queen of Chicago and "strapping young buck buying t bone steak with food stamps," white folks knew what race they belonged to.

I have seen Reparations paid to descendants of Russian Serfs. All old houses in central regions of St. Petersburg (Leningrad) belonged to nobles prior to 1918. Then they were given to descendants of Serfs. A typical noble family had a 8-room apartment in 1915. Such apartment could accommodate 8 working families in 1925.


I am proud of my great-grandparents who worked to build Soviet Russia. As a Jew I am proud of Leon Trotsky. Totalitarianism came when Jews were displaced.

There really should have been an end date on LBJ’s welfare program -perhaps 25 years, max. That means people who had kids they couldn’t afford would have had help from other people for their kids’ entire childhood, and then those kids could have worked part-time jobs to pay for community college and learn some sort of vocation.

Instead, we have the opposite. People who have gotten welfare for generations are now asking for MORE, MORE, MORE via “reparations.”

After WW2 Joe Jouis tried to get a Ford Dealership in Chicago. Because he was black, he was denied one. He died broke.

Max Schmelling was given a Coca Cola dealership. He died rich and his kids were left a fortune.

This is a perfect example of why reparations are necessary.

When will Agrica pay for their part in slavery? They have been enslaving their own and others since time began. As have all tribes on earth.
The persecution by many blacks on blacks is horrible. Like 'tire necklaces by Minnie Mandella or drawings of ancient blacks tiring arm, leg on both sides to three's then cutting the tree and splitting them apart. All man can be very evil, period.
