They're taking down all of the achievements of anyone other than straight white men and pretending that no one other white men have any heroic achievements.
Taking down the achievements of Jackie Robinson was just wrong on every single level. In every aspect of his personal and professional life, his achievements were remarkable and noteworthy. He wasn't just the first black ML Baseball player. He was one of the greatest players who ever lived. He was the Rookie of the Year his first season, and the National League MVP 2 years later. He lead his team to 6 World Series, and he's in the Baseball Hall of fame.
Long before Rosa Parks, Robinson refused to go to the back of the bus while in the army, and was court martialled and dishonourably discharged as a result. He fought the charges and won, and Army policy was changed. He remained in the Army and was honourably discharged. Yeah, I can see why Trump wouldn't want a black man who stood up for his rights, celebrated.
