Getting the most votes in a presidential election is not the same as being the most popular candidate. The former being accounted for by turnout and by there being more eligible voters due to population growth and efforts to register voters. The latter, well, it wasn't so much Biden's popularity as it was the colossal failure of trump 1.0 that caused Don to get crushed.
A couple of small problems with that:
