Rep. Sheila Jackson Lee dead at 74

I just know that she has Barbara Jordan's old seat. BJ was a pretty sharp woman who wanted to cut legal immigration, increase enforcement against illegal immigrants, and end the practice of letting relatives jump ahead in the immigration lines decades before it became the right's rallying cry. She would be tarred and feathered in today's DNC.

Exactly, she served before the commiecrats came into being.

.

She wasn't my cup of tea, but I'll put her record of achievement against Jim Jordon, Matt Gaetz, MTG, Comer, or any other extreme MAGA in Congress.

And they would all lose. Badly.

Hey dumb ass, they haven't been in office 30 years. And from what I've seen, she introduced one bill that became law. That's not a very good record for 30 years.

.

Sure, just not in the numbers seen since the vax rollout.
And you came to belive that...how?

I mean you are seriously deluded enough to belive that there is this obvious spike in cancer rates since end of 2020 and no one but anti-vax nutbags like you noticed?

Here are 2019 cancer deaths in US: 606,880

Here are 2023 cancer deaths in US: 609,820

Where do you see any Covid-19 vaccination correlation?

I think you would need to look at occurrences, not deaths to make a valid point about vax..

you can cuss until you turn black and blue in the face, but the Word of God stands firm! Sin is what God is sick and tired of and you better recognized that!

Your profanity is nothing but weakness and stupidity. Next time, try a different adolescent cuss word-shock us!
shut the **** up....if you dont like cussing you are in the wrong forum.....try the kermit the frog forum...

I would guess she likely did but she died of advanced pancreatic cancer that was diagnosed at stage four. I'm confident the COVID vaccination(s) had nothing to do with that.
there have been some studies that have concluded that the covid vax caused certain types of fast spreading cancers. We should be able to know if this was involved in her death. I'm not saying it was, only that we the people have the right to know.

Again the Texas governor cannot replace a vacated congressional seat. It as to be via special election and since there is less than six months remaining in this congressional session, it is unlikely they'll bother with a special election but candidates will instead vie for a full two-year term.
yes, I understand that. I am asking how a temporary replacement (six months) is appointed until and election can be held. Or does that seat just remain vacant?

What about them? Go ahead, I want to see try to grab them straws. :rolleyes-41:
healthy 20 year olds dying of heart issues after being vaxed and boosted. Should we just ignore that because Sir Fauci says we should all be vaxed and boosted?

I am aware of studies that suggest COVID has exacerbated cancers but no studies that suggest the Vax has done so. I know my nieces oncologist's was very concerned about her getting COVID but not at all about her getting the vax. Both the National Cancer Institute and the National Cancer Society are on record that there is no detectable link between cancer and the vax.

I don't know and have no means to research it myself. I have to depend on the medical professionals and published studies for my information. And I trust those more than internet chatter.

I don't recommend anybody get the vaccination and I strongly oppose any form of mandate requiring anyone to get the vaccination. I also don't recommend anybody not get the vaccination.

I have had two relatively young relatives die of what was called "turbo cancer" and both had been fully vaxed and boosted. I don't know for sure that it killed them, but aren't we entitled to know?

I think it will just remain vacant because the time is so short to put together a special election. I don't believe the Texas governor can name a temporary replacement.

How are we to know? We cannot do the research ourselves. If the medical professionals and both cancer societies and the studies I've seen say no link between cancer and the vax, I don't know who else you turn to for different credible information. I know a lot of people who got cancer and some who died from fast aggressive forms long before COVID arrived.

We lost three family members and one good friend to the virus and only my sister, already with advanced congestive heart failure, was vaxxed. Others (certainly not all) our family and friends who were not vaxxed had long term residual effect--scarring of the lungs and other negatives from the virus. None of the vaxxed who got the virus report similar long range effects. I know my niece's oncologist was far more worried about the virus exacerbating her cancer.

And despite all the stuff reported out there, I'm guessing the large majority of my friends and family are now vaxxed and multiple boosted, and I don't know a one of them who reports any negative side effects from it in any way other than a day or two of mild discomfort which is normal.

Again I don't recommend or not recommend the vax--it should be a person's choice. And no mandates.

You posted data which shows a decrease in cancer deaths.

Well, you didn't think, because cancer incidence is increasing.

So, you were trying to make a point which is clearly wrong. The question then is, is the opposite of the point you were trying to make true?

You like CNN. Here....

And....
The American Cancer Society reports lower overall cancer death rates, yet incidence is increasing for many common cancers, including 6 of the top 10.

Dummy the question was what did Covid-19 vaccine had to do with agressive cancer?

Data clearly shows - NOTHING. There is no correlation of vaccinations and cancer deaths and incidence increases.
