Not the middle of nowhere
"Europe has a problem that may soon become ours. Countries like Germany, Spain, and England are finding that their recent “green energy” experiments are proving too costly to continue. Between 2005—when the European Union adopted its emissions trading scheme—and 2014, residential electricity rates in the EU increased by an average of 63 percent. In Germany, rates increased by 78 percent; in Spain, by 111 percent; and, in the U.K., by a whopping 133 percent. Over the same decade, residential rates in the United States rose only 32 percent."

Climate skeptics have long been telling the world that the global warmers are lying about the cost of renewables. Well.......the governments of Europe lied for years about renewable energy and sure enough, the people are learning about it when they open their electricity bills. Which is why countries like Germany are going hard back to coal.......duh........politicians don't like getting their asses thrown out of office!!

Been saying it for a decade..........renewable energy is a joke when you take a close look. The people who puch renewable energy all have one thing in common.......they don't give a shit about "costs".

Thankfully.......people in the real world do!!!

No worries........the people in America will most definitely embrace clean coal because they aren't suckers like Europeans who have a history of letting their governments screw them with mega-high taxes!!!:funnyface:

Renewable energy is ghey..........it is and has always been a green fantasy precisely because the cost is astronomical!!

But these AGW bozo's don't care..........costs don't matter to them!!!

Mental cases?

I think so!!!!:coffee:

I suspect you might be wrong about the American people. Obama and his little green bureaucrats have been working diligently to kill fossil fuel companies.

Considering a business as usual track of carbon emissions will probably end up putting London, Paris and thousands of other coastal cities under water. Well, this is a cheap price to pay.
London and Paris are not coastal cities dumbass...and your propaganda is so bad that it is laughable.

Dang s0n..........ore thinking is so fucking off the reservation its not real!! How do you even navigate in the real world?

About 179 people are sitting home worried about their city being under water. Its common sense asshole.

The entire world is well aware of their eating habits effecting their mortality rate. Does it stop them from eating fast food?

duh

You and your pals......few in number btw.......have no clue about how the real world thinks. Its fascinating to me.:coffee:

Another

Fucking
Told

So
!

Moment that leftist cant handle.
Another epic failure, that has cost hundreds of billions of dollars, and is fucking over the worlds poor.

but hey, its a good start

He is blind...like his blind adherence to the Big Lie that is AGW.

Right there in the middle of POST #1!!!:2up::eusa_dance::eusa_dance:

This is not news.......Ive been educating people in here about this stuff for years.

There are about 50 links in THIS thread..... More Proof the skeptics are WINNING!! ......... about the costs related to the silliness of renewable energy.......it is waaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaay beyond debatable at this point. Exactly why Germany has done an abrupt about face on renewables with 20 new coal plants being opened between now and 2020.:desk:

Why......because the people like cheap energy, that's why!!!:bye1::bye1::bye1:

Oh and PS to the curious on this topic...........

Beware of bogus statistics that the AGW religion presents with respect to costs. bOgUs............they hide 80% of the real costs!!!:coffee:

Doesn't take a genius to recognize........Europe was all enamored with renewables about 15-20 years ago.......and then they started getting their electric bills. Now they cant import natural gas and coal fast enough.........well duh......except for the mental cases, people like cheap energy.:fu:

No one ever said that saving the goddamn planet wouldn't cost more. This is the case in less sunny and northern areas of our globe, but it is becoming the energy source to go to in sunnier places.

The thing is do you want the oceans to be 2-3 meters higher by the end of the century or not???

Revolutionary: Germany Builds A Solar City That Produces Four Times More Energy Than It Consumes

Quote

We have known cities to be great power-guzzlers, having a huge appetite for consuming electricity to power its homes and buildings. To generate electricity for such cities through renewable sources like solar becomes a difficult task given the vast amount of area required to place the solar panels. But a city in the heart of Germany has achieved something more incredible. It not only has made itself self-sufficient in energy, but in fact has become a net producer of energy – all thanks to a localized approach for adopting solar power.

The Solar cities of Germany:
The Sonnenschiff and Solarsiedlung cities located in Freiburg, Germany are modern, planned habitations that were worked upon with solar power in mind. Literally meaning Solar Ship and Solar Village, the Sonnenschiff and Solarsiedlung cities were specifically designed and built to be solar cities, balancing size, accessibility, green space, and solar exposure. Each of the fifty-two homes along with some commercial buildings is fitted with large rooftop solar panels that double-up as sun shades. The panels are perfectly aligned to point in the right direction of the sun, and the buildings follow the Passivhaus standards of green building technology.
The cities have been designed by architect Rolf Disch. Together with the latest photovoltaic technology for the panels that make them highly efficient, and use of phase-change materials and vacuum insulation for the walls of the buildings that provide optimum thermal performance, the cities are able to generate four times the power which they consume.

And the solar city fails becasue there is no storage capacity.. SO at night or when its cloudy, its like giving yourself a bomb with the fuse lit waiting for the power to go out..
