Zone1 Remember Your Death

No. I’d say that you are allowing your mind to be controlled by unsupportable beliefs which are plainly above your pay grade.

See how this works?

Again, if you choose to substitute your belief, where evidence can’t support it, and label it “proof,” that’s a you thing. And it’s perfectly ok. I’m not trying to change your mind or your opinion or your beliefs.

I am simply noting that it makes no sense to quote the Bible as alleged “proof” of your belief in the Bible.
You are not paying attention to what I say... figures.. happens a lot at forums.

The main thing I said that you should take note of is

I've been in the Real, tangible Presence of Christ and you likely have not

That's all I ask you to focus on. Being with Jesus Christ is all that matters....

I believe that is the main thing that makes a Mass valid.. but I haven't delved into that particular issue. I just know there is that and some other words that were removed for the "new mass" so called. Again, people should not presume on God..

Jesus loves us and knows we need the Eucharist. So He likely consecrates the host at NO "masses" despite man's rebellion (V2).

Jesus is good... others...
.

I know also that my priest says the words of Consecration correctly, so I'm satisfied.

well, if Jesus consecrates the host anyway at all NO masses (not sure He does at ALL of them? But possibly)

it doesn't matter as much as some would say... and yet it does matter because humans should not be altering ... unalterable things..

Have you ever seen the "Chicken Dance" Mass?

Makes me nauseous.

.

You came at me calling me a "spoiled American" and waiving the Bible because I stated "life is a gift and every day should be enjoyed". :dunno:
You love arguing and insulting others more than
searching for truth, apparently

LOL

I've seen images of clown masses and even masses where some in the congregation dressed up like Satan!

Padre Pio would have fainted seeing all the stuff going on in modern times. Thankfully, God spared him.

I can't believe that even in early 1900s ... well, Jesus appeared to Pio and showed great disgust at the priests... It was something like 1920!

What is going on now is just ... well, you know...

:omg:

I’m sorry but I don’t believe that. I’m glad you do, though.

Thanks. But I’m content with my belief in a Divine Creator. And, frankly, I am also content to accept the teachings of Jesus to the extent we mere mortals are capable of doing so.

You’ve been arguing a bit angrily (or so it appears to me upon reading some of your posts). Sorry man that hasn’t been my intent. I wish you well and I am genuinely happy that your religious beliefs bring you peace, contentment, joy and hope.

But that’s it for me in this discussion.

Your perceptions of my mood appear to be no more reliable than your belief system.

I am not angry, not with you anyway...

Anyhow, if my religion can give me the Gift of the Real Presence of Christ-- who is GOD ("If you have seen Me you have seen the Father".... "I and the Father are one")--

Then my religion is the true one given by God Himself...

That's only logical

Ok. I don’t believe you. And I no longer care to “discuss” it with you.

I’m happy that you choose to believe that your religion is the only “true” religion. It isn’t, of course. But that’s a you thing I bet you that if God gives you any thought at all, He doesn’t care about which route you select (if any) to behave in a moral fashion.

To my view, it is highly unlikely that God would exclude from heaven anybody who can’t accept that one “true” religion.

But again, I do need to decline further discussion with you. You are very close-minded due to your beliefs. I don’t mind. But it does make a discussion irrelevant.

wow, the one who cannot prove HIS views accuses me of being closed-minded about my own!
Can you spell Projection? Hypocrisy?
Oh well, I forgive.

You, however, are the one who is closed minded. I've been out there in the world believing any old thing that crossed my mind or grabbed my emotions, so I have been where you have been more or less.

You, however, have not walked 1/4 a mile in my shoes... much less been in the Real Presence of Christ

Speaking of Padre Pio, Rest his Soul, here's the most amazing Rosary that I just found today!

Of course it is. Jesus' life wasn't all sorrow.
you say this life is for having fun??

Just OMG!

How is it that my life has become more sorrowful and problematic since I decided to follow Jesus?

I have moments of great joy following Him... the Real Presence being the Best of the Best joys... However, when I am not with Jesus... I am

1) surrounded by anti-Catholics
2) misunderstood for what I believe
3) often lonely because few know what I know or care what I know

and I could go on with 4- 100

But I won't

Jesus said that His followers will be "hated by all men" Mk 13:13, Mt 10:22 (?)

doesn't sound too fun...

And if it refers to this lifetime, I can’t remember something that hasn’t happened yet. Can you tell us what that phrase even means?
Sure. Think, contemplate, reflect on your next vacation. What are you planning before and during?

Look around. Someone else may have done the lifting for you. One branch of my family has a documented history that runs back to William the conqueror days so there are some books and articles and things on some of the scallywags in that line that also includes some of the Mayflower folks.
My grandfather introduced me to family genealogy when I was ten, and immediately jumped into it. He was pursuing the male lines so I took a great interest in the female lines. I don't got go too far back past immigration to America, and while I pay attention to the work of others, I don't automatically accept it. And some lines are so tangled, I wonder if I'll ever get them untangled--but that's part of the fun. Even so, my fervent wish is not to run into anyone famous as those lines are the most tangled of all.

That's a great looking rosary. I talk to Padre Pio here and there. I don't believe he's been formally canonized, has he?

figures... the V2 hate real Catholics

.

Yes, he is now St. Pio. Canonization, June 16, 2002.

They said he prayed up to 50 Rosaries a day.

I like having him in the passenger seat when I'm driving. Do you know about his promise to his spiritual children? He promised to wait at the gate of Heaven until every one of his spiritual children had entered, before he entered Heaven himself.

Interesting I was raised in a devout Christian Family and went to Church every Sunday for many years. I don't recall a single time when I was told "Your life must be full of misery because God said so!"
I agree. Yes, suffering awaits all of us, but on the other side, the Commandments, Beatitudes, Parables, etc. are guides to joy. Life has both, and it it would be a shame to miss all the good fun we are meant to enjoy in this life despite the suffering that will also come our way.
