yeh, I read about that, how he would wait for his spiritual children b4 entering Heaven. I did NOT know he was canonized in 2002. That's shocking considering how un-Catholic the Vatican is and has been for decades. But I guess they figured they had no choice because the people... the people KNEW he was a saint... Plus so many books have been written about him..
Yes, he is now St. Pio. Canonization, June 16, 2002.
They said he prayed up to 50 Rosaries a day.
I like having him in the passenger seat when I'm driving. Do you know about his promise to his spiritual children? He promised to wait at the gate of Heaven until every one of his spiritual children had entered, before he entered Heaven himself.

People would have become Sedevacantists in droves if they hadn't canonized him.
(which will likely happen some day regardless)
