Zone1 Remember Your Death

I never bothered listening to Francis regardless of what language he spoke because I knew from the beginning he was a manifest, obstinate heretic (a non-Catholic).

The Catholics are not in the Vatican anymore, haven't been for many moons now. It's all a farce. True Catholics are a small remnant. Yet, even so, it looks to me like Jesus really does confect the hosts in "new church."

Again, Jesus good
everyone else.. not
.

The miniscule core of our parish -- mostly those who attend daily Mass -- father calls us just that, "the remnant". We all know that, if they destroyed our church tomorrow, he'd celebrate the Mass in someone's basement. Total trust.

Would it be ok for you to give this priest's name? I am curious... used to live in.. I guess you still do? S Dakota

wow, the one who cannot prove HIS views accuses me of being closed-minded about my own!
Can you spell Projection? Hypocrisy?
Oh well, I forgive.

You, however, are the one who is closed minded. I've been out there in the world believing any old thing that crossed my mind or grabbed my emotions, so I have been where you have been more or less.

You, however, have not walked 1/4 a mile in my shoes... much less been in the Real Presence of Christ
I don’t claim ever that I can prove my beliefs.

I only note that you can’t either.

You might as well just give up

I can prove what I believe... if only people hearing me would... really hear me

like they should visit a Catholic Church and stay there for about an hour in Jesus's presence. I've heard of that making believers of folks. As Jesus said "Could you not watch with Me one hour?"

.

Sorry, that would give away where I live. Too many stalkers and doxxers here.

.
yeh, I totally understand.

I probably won't ever be in SD again anyhow, but who knows?

If people knew Jesus (and His presence) they would stalk HIM and not some totally imperfect human being... but sigh..

few listen to us Catholics

I can say I'm in the Diocese of Sioux Falls, and the tiny town I live in is less than 50 miles from Sioux Falls.

Thanks for understanding.

I love what you said in the third line.

Sioux Falls seems like a good place to live.. except maybe for the very cold winters.

Yeh, the 3rd line.. People should stalk the Real Presence... LOL

they would find someone who really, really CARES, and even after knowing everything about them!

OK. Are there some people who need to be reminded that they ain't gonna live forever? Like, don't get too full of yourself? Or, if you don't watch out you'll end up in eternal Hell? Sinnerman, where you gonna run to?
I believe it is a matter of reflecting on priorities. Who, or what, is most important to you in your life this instant?

Sioux Falls is okay. It has always been a wannabe liberal utopia, but never quite made it.

The smaller towns are better.

If you ever get there, drop in to the Cathedral office and schedule a tour of the Cathedral. Yes, they will give you a tour even if it's just you. If you get Father Morgan leading the tour, you will have an amazing experience.

Nope; sorry. You can say things you believe. That doesn’t make you right. I did “hear” you. This is why I noted (correctly) that your alleged proof is self referential: Belief in your faith is “proved” by citing your belief.

But, alas, that’s not actual proof.

I got to thinking and maybe I misunderstood you when you asked something to the effect of "Haven't you ever.. watched children play" or whatever you said. I thought you were being derisive and/or sarcastic or something. I have PTSD (the worst kind you can have) so I am always quick to believe the worst of people, but I apologize if I misunderstood.

If I didn't misunderstand... if I got your right... well, that was still no reason to be sarcastic myself...

So says you. But I do not just believe in the Catholic Church, I KNOW it is the Church Christ founded. And you can argue with subjective feelings and subjective beliefs, but you cannot argue with historical FACTS. Jesus existed, and He did certain things like found a Church. Jesus is real. I'm sorry you have not experienced Him as I and others have. But that does not mean I am (we are) imagining all that we believe.

You don't see how you are pointing 3 fingers back at yourself when you accuse me of self-referencing and etc...

Again, I have been where you and many others have been. But most others have not been where I have been

I agree. Yes, suffering awaits all of us, but on the other side, the Commandments, Beatitudes, Parables, etc. are guides to joy. Life has both, and it it would be a shame to miss all the good fun we are meant to enjoy in this life despite the suffering that will also come our way.
Suffering awaits all of us on the other side? We're all going to Hell? I'm confused again.

You love arguing and insulting others more than
searching for truth, apparently
I posted "life is a gift" and that set YOU off and YOU came after ME. That is the TRUTH. I'll have a discussion with anyone including you and if you think you know the truth, then explain it. My truth is biological life is a gift and that has served me very well my entire life.

I contemplate death in general, and my own death in particular quite regularly. This has been heightened in the last quarter century by the passing of my father in 2001 and more recently by my little cancer scare back in June/July.

I find the topic quite interesting. Especially the differences in the ways that different groups react to the topic.

one doesn't realize the consequences of poor health and their perception of life - letting go as the alternative can be an overwhelming revelation than to live forever.

Ok. As I’ve told you repeatedly, your beliefs are yours and I’m not trying to change them.

In fact, I find no problem with anyone’s particular religious beliefs (other than that of radical and hateful Islamist belief and, of course, Satanism).

You do seem awfully judgy though.
