As to the demise of the old Fairness Doctrine, in today's climate, Conservatives hold the power, and yet THEY are the ones who have been advocating for its return in recent times... even if it works against them from time-to-time...

A revised Fairness Doctrine... one that cannot easily be used as a political weapon... and encased in Federal Statute rather than just as a long-standing FCC Rule published in the Federal Register... would be a good thing for BOTH sides if done properly, yes?

If it WOULD be a good thing for both sides, then... why-in-the-world would you gripe about WHO proposed it or even WHY? Hell.. the Devil himself could have proposed it... but if it's a GOOD thing, then... who-the-hell cares?

The implication here is that it would ALSO apply to the present-day glut of Cable and Internet outlets as well, yes?
